I'm at the stage of being ready to work on my BBB again. Not yet though as James is off work, but from tomorrow I'll start poking at it again. Hopefully it won't take that long, at least until I hit the place holder sex scenes and no doubt will come to a grinding halt. I've also been reading through more BRBBs and thoroughly enjoying doing so while pondering what I'll write for wave three. Really, I've been feeling nicely productive about stuff, no doubt helped by twitter being consumed with other fandom squee at the moment. Which is something I always enjoy, but can get a little lonely at times when I'm not part of that.

Still, new pics to look forward to this weekend, and I'll continue to think about the many stories starring Mikey Way that live in my head. And the one where I want Ryan to travel the country going to this random series of hockey games. He has a team that he states is his but he's going to many other games, and it turns out he's going to away games within travelling distance of where Panic are playing. Really, I just want Spencer to turn up and call Ryan a moron before they sit and watch hockey together. Me and my rose-coloured glasses, man. We're bffs, just like Ryan and Spencer.

Stuff in the garden continues to grow nicely. The beetroot now have individual mini greenhouses of their own after James and Corey cut up a load of pop bottles and used them as cloches. The courgettes have already doubled in size in some cases. I fear I may regret taking them out of pots and planting them in a bed. I did wake up a few nights ago to find a big, ginger cat sitting amongst the plants. I think he must have been attracted to the foil balls we've got on there to deter slugs, but he needs to go play elsewhere, not in our seedlings.

I've been meaning to get into my pjs for hours now, so I'm off to do that. I should also put the pickled onions away before I chomp my way through the full jar. Somehow half are gone already. Ooops.

Really, I've been feeling nicely productive about stuff, no doubt helped by twitter being consumed with other fandom squee at the moment. Which is something I always enjoy, but can get a little lonely at times when I'm not part of that.

This is me exactly right now. I've been meaning to reply to your other comment where you mentioned noticing that I seem quiet lately. This is why. I've been busy with RL things and not been sucked into fandom much because there just isn't much going on. I check twitter every day, but most of what I see is about other fandoms. So I've just been sort of ~around- lurking and reading and writing, just not interacting much. I looked at my journal the other day and realized it's been two weeks since I've posted and thought maybe I should say something, but I couldn't think of anything to say, so I didn't!
But anyway. I'm here. Sometimes I get quiet. :)

I hear you on the BBB thing. Soon as I sent my draft in, I went back to it, put in some scene placeholders and stepped away from it for a few days. I'll most deffo be tackling it from tomorrow/today (it's past midnight over here hence the handwaving) up to the next couple of weeks. It's been a nice vacay for my mind which has, in part, allowed me to dive back into the story refreshed and eager to whip up a neater draft. :P

In truth, I find it sweetly amusing to see peeps go all starry-eyed over fandoms I've got no interest in. It makes me happy to see my friends being happy. Meanwhile, I've been the total weirdo who's been watching her shows (that not that many people watch *cough* The Vampire Diaries *cough*) and reading up on stuff here and there (finally--FINALLY!--done with BRBB and some of the BFF fest fics. #feelingaccomplishedwhat). Been meaning to do a couple of actual!posts (instead of picspams), but I don't really know how many of my peeps would dig reading about drag queens and randomly awesome supernatural shows. (Knowing me, though, I'll eventually get to write about both. *g*). I understand what you mean about not participating in the general squee, though. For me, it's kinda the norm as I am never plugged into the hive mind when it comes to certain pockets of fannish squee (see: my indiference towards SPN, White Collar, Sherlock, etc.)

I love your Ryan & Spencer as BFFs hockey fic. It's a lovely fic (even if it's never written.)

Yeah, I get that, too. But it's coinciding with a period when I've needed to step away from Twitter, so it's worked out well. I needed a break from thinking about my BBB, hence Reverse Remix. Finished one tonight, know what I'm going to do with the other, just have to get through work on Friday, MCR on Saturday and then back to banging away on my Big Bang. \o/

I really am starting to miss gardening. See what you've done to me?

The garden is getting there. Though the pepper plant that would have ended up out there eventually is now minus leaves after Pansy wanted a snack.

My twitter feed is pretty much all Avengers and Adam at the moment, and while I love fannish glee there's not much to interact with.

There was no way I could even think about adding to or editing my BBB in the days after I handed it in. It took so much concentrated writing in the days leading up to deadline I really needed a break. I'm not surprised at all it hit other people the other way. I totally get the feeling of being refreshed and wanting to dive in again.

I love watching fannish glee, but it's led to a lot of scrolling over at twitter where nearly every post has been Adam or Avengers lately. Though I've been hanging onto Ladyfoxxx's and Pennyplainknits Ray/Mikey twit fic eagerly *____*


You should write those posts. I dropped The Vampire Diaries in season one but I watch a load of other stuff I don't really talk about. So I'm always up for reading about what people are enjoying watching. And somehow I suspect people will always be there for drag queen talk *g*

The Ryan and Spencer hockey fic makes me happy to think about. Ryan Ross the hockey fan is some of my most favourite canon, and it should be used in stories somehow, but just isn't. Sadness!

We get new Mikey pictures! We should have a poll to see if the stretched out ratty shirt of stripes will return.

I've got to admit I've become a Avengers fangirl. I knew it would happen. Marvel movies are my JAM. Shit, I was even a BNF for a little bit in X2 fandom. Also, it was a relief after BBB's frantic writing to have a completely different thing to look at for a bit. But my brain is already bouncing back to BUT WHAT ARE THE BOYS DOING? Which, apparently includes Gabe Saporta hanging out with Adam Lambert, which I find HILARIOUS.

Placeholder sex. Yes. I am also afflicted by this. *facepalm* I ALREADY WROTE TWO SEX SCENES WHY MUST THERE BE A THIRD? (because it's like the crucial plot point moment, gala. Suuuuffer)

hurray for the onward progress of gardening. The cute little tortie cat who has been patrolling our garden appears to have been displaced by a pair of foxes... this is why I am currently ignoring the back garden!
