May. 22nd, 2012 07:43 pmRyan Ross continues to delight me by doing such things as posting photos of himself with a puppy. Look at his little face! He's adorable and makes me want all the Ryan fic. Where are all the stories where he's BFFs with Spencer or coming to peace with the Panic situation, not back in the band but able to be with them or stories where he decides to go see one of his old band crushes perform and ends up having sex with Mikey Way. Shut up. If I say it enough it could happen.
It's been a beautiful day today, not that I've been out in it outside of the garden. James finished four nights of night shifts today and it always takes him a while to get his sleep patterns turned around, so he was napping on the couch most of the day. Though had been there for all of ten minutes when nanna dropped in for a visit this morning. She was sad today, coming to tell us that her sister wasn't expected to come back out of hospital. I feel so sad for nanna, she's in her mid 90s now and all her siblings have already died apart from one sister and brother, and now Aunty Margaret is dying too, expected to go anywhere between days and a few weeks.
Tomorrow we're off to the limb centre so James can get his leg checked before he goes to France next week. Goodness knows how long we'll be there for, they never seem to get anything done fast and I'm not allowed to go with him so end up sitting in the waiting room forever. It'll be okay though, I'll take my kindle and get some reading done, maybe even in the sun if it's as nice as today.
Yesterday Corey brought home his yearbook and I have to admit I got a lump in my throat reading it. All those kids, some of them I've watched grow along with Corey from playschool until now, and they're all so close to scattering and going off into the world. What was a shame is Corey's class didn't get a personal message from their tutor. All the others did, mentioning things that had happened in their tutor class since they were first years, but Corey's class has had five tutors over the years, so that personal connection is missing. Still, it's a nice thing for him to have.
And now I'm going to watch the first Eurovision Semi Final \o/

Date: 2012-05-23 05:46 pm (UTC)But yes, all the Ryan fic.
I saw Eld's hug meme just now and more than anything I want a story with Ryan and Spencer where they have this incredibly awkward conversation that eventually leads to Spencer becoming exasperated and saying that the band may have changed but their friendship never did, even if Ryan didn't see that, and there would be a long hug and Spencer calling Ryan a moron as he just holds on.
And I agree so much about happy Pete/Ryan fic. Really I just want Ryan to be reassured he still has a place in their hearts.

Date: 2012-05-25 01:50 am (UTC)Though I can see him being besties with Spencer, my auto-default is to ship them together. In any case, a fix-it story (whether gen or slash) would be really wonderful.
Hope everything went well with James's visit and I'm sorry about your Nana being pretty much the remaining sibling of her generation. *hugs for both you and her*
I went over to one of my cousin's house a few weeks back and found an old yearbook of his. It was both LOLarious and horrifying to see 9th grade me in several pics.
Been seeing your Eurovision tweets. Sounds like a ridiculously awesome contest.

Date: 2012-05-25 11:24 am (UTC)It wasn't bad at all. An hour and a half wait but I went and hung out in the car which was parked in a nice spot and just read all the time.

Date: 2012-05-25 11:26 am (UTC)I'm all about Ryan and Spencer in any way possible, shipped or BFFs. They just make sense in my head.
Things went fine. James' leg passed the inspection and I got to hang out in the sunshine and read. A win win really.
I bet it was. In Corey's one of the boys must have had a serious neck injury as he's wearing a neck brace and halo thing. I'm sure he's going to be happy remembering that in years to come.
Eurovision really is insane. So many of the songs are terrible and even the good ones are cheesy. You either love it or hate it, and I'm firmly in the first camp :D
