A few weeks back I told how James' cousin was diagnosed with cancer. He was only in his early twenties but because ha had severe cerebal palsy no one knew until far too late. He passed on last night with all his family at his side.

I didn't know him that well, but I do know that while he may not have been capable of independent movement, to talk or eat or do many things, he enjoyed life and was loved deeply. He's going to be missed.

In happier news, I'm having a chilled day at home. I've got the Christmas movie channel on and am pottering around doing some cleaning and making Sunday dinner soon, though the joint is the kind that has bones sticking out of it, something I'm dubious about. James told me to make them little tin hats out of foil, so I guess that's my next job after posting this.

I suppose I should write later too. [personal profile] sperrywink is a star and read through what I have yesterday, and then gave great comments, so I'm feeling more secure in what I'm writing.

Forgot to say, the greenhouse was taken down yesterday. The garden looks so bare now. I also may have dropped a tub of dip next to Freesia, who despite being cleaned off, groomed for hours with a very disgruntled air about her *g*

Right, I'm off to make some tiny tin hats.

I'm sorry to hear about James' cousin.

Glad you had a nice relaxing day, though. Poor Freesia. *g*

enjoy your chill day, and have tons of fun with the tiny tin hats! if they come out well you might scale them up and offer some to fannish types; a stylish tin hat is hard to find *g*

That's so sad about James' cousin.

I hope your tiny tin hats turned out well. (I was going to make a crack about tin hatting but I see dine has beaten me to it :-)

Good luck with the writing!

You really know the growing season is over when you take down the greenhouse.

Poor Fresia. Humans don't understand the fine art of cleaning!

Chilled days are the best.

And you're welcome! My pleasure and all that. *g*

Awww, no greenhouse!

Good luck with the cooking and tin hats.
