I'm over the initial OMG reaction to my sesa assignment. I think it was mostly due to having pairings that I'd never even thought about writing, a word that needs to be included that I didn't even know the meaning of, a writing style that I tend not to write and a total lack of any of the men that I wanted.

Man, reading that list I could freak again, but no, I've actually got some ideas now, I'm feeling pretty confident. I've been looking at the mentor situation but I'd need a bsb one and those seem thin on the ground.

I like the idea of a mentor but I could cope without one. I know I can write, what I need is someone to point out my lousy grammar and the mistakes I make when the story is done. That way I can become a better writer.

No, I've decided I'm going to have fun with this. Yes, the pairings aren't what I'd have picked and the words could be better but what the hell. I'm going to enjoy writing this story!

Imagine me punching at the air now, chanting 'I can do this!' *g*

I can't do mine.

I mean, I can't do the JC half, which I -=REALLY=- wanted to, but AJ?!? I looked him & a lil bsb up last night, & he's UGLY! Bleah!

OK, not gonna say anymore, just in case my recipient sees this, but I think I'm gonna have to go with the *Nsync pairing, which is NOT JC & would _NOT_ be my first (or 9th) choice...

You're more than capable of writing anything, you know that, and so do I.

I wouldn't say that AJ is ugly, he's got beautiful eyes but I know it's a matter of taste. Plus, writing BSB when you know *nothing* about them mightn't be the best thing.

Not saying specifics either but I know you'll do an awesome story. Because you rock, it's that simple. Write this, then write what you want next time. Like a *long* trickc for my birthday

Not that I'm hinting or anything....

well maybe a little ;)

I won't tell you to write AJ, especially when you totally don't seem to feel the love... but if you are considering it, you might try looking at comm, because Lucy has lots of pics up there, mostly BSB, and AJ is her favourite Boy. If nothing else, you might get a glimpse at what other people see in him.

I fear becoming a BSB fan (no, really! lol) but my male pride has been challenged, in words eerily similar to my sister's when I expressed a writing doubt to her: "You can put anything into words!" So now I'm probably gonna have to write it...

Oh, well. I am determined to have fun with whatever I end up writing, otherwise it's not worth it.

And no teasing, Terri, that's _another_ challenge, and when's ypur birthday? lol

Oops! my link to the community didn't work. I meant to lead you to sparkly_pics. And, I don't want to encourage you to write the AJ story if you aren't comfortable with it, unless you *want* the challenge. I posted the (defective) link to the community *in case* you wanted, not to force you!

I really do think you'll do a good job which ever option you decide on, your sister's words are so true. I know you'll have fun too, have can you not chatting and writing about sdbs? *g*

I was only teasing about the trickC, I know how busy you are. But my birthday is in Feb just for the record, but I really don't expect a story.

Good choice for the comm. Lucy has posted some fantastic pictures of the boys.

I think AJ can be deceptive. Sometimes he looks so ordinary, then at others he blows you away. I really think they're a very good looking group. When they're not looking like goobers *g*

Is this the same Lucy you said loves Letterboys, Terri? 'Cause I'll check it out if somebody can point me at it, otherwise I'm afraid I'm gonna have to go with the *Nsync pairing. Which isn't a bad thing, IMHO, I just selfishly wanted to write my fav boybander, Mr. Chasez. And I'm BSB clueless, and don't think I like AJ, but ah well... ..we'll see.

On a better note, Coco gave me some ideas for the Thanksgiving MX fic... *grin*

Okay, let me see what I can do... the person we are referring to is reggie_mbq, and she is calle Lucy. She has a fic journal, which is lucy_fic, and she posts pictures, in a community called sparkly_pics

This is definitely the Lucy who loves Letterboys. I hope my links work this time!
