James has his surgery on Monday and is now home and at that beginning stage of having cabin fever while also being in a lot of pain, unable to do much more than sit on the couch and having to take a load of pain pills. He's on a three hour schedule right now which means alarms during the night, but it has to be done to keep on top of things.

He has to go to the hospital on Monday to get the cast off and maybe a splint, and it's only then we'll see if this has actually worked. Fingers crossed it has, or I guess in James' case, fingers not clawed it has.

Other than that, the end of last week mam had her second cataract op and said it was much worse than the first and if she'd had that eye done first she would have never gone back. She went to a heart trace appointment earlier this week, the first time she's ever had to go to an appointment on her own, and was stressing about that. Which I would have had more sympathy about but Kayleigh offered an olive branch saying she'd take mam when we couldn't, and all mam did was text back and say she was getting a taxi. Add on more drunken FB posts by mam and I can't see those two talking anytime soon.

Anyway. Other stuff. The Last Leg remains one of my favourite shows, and not just because it does stuff like this. Though I have to admit, my heart melted a little when Alex took Josh's hand. Hand holding, it's such a thing for me.

Also, the official Blood video that's appeared. Band, I love you always. I've watched a few times now, which was needed as the first few I kept being distracted by Mikey and Bob.

Finally, I enjoyed this outtake of Mikey's AP shoot. I always appreciate a good neck shot.
