Sep. 24th, 2014 10:36 amRules: for five consecutive days post three positive things that have happened, plus tag three other people to do the same, so the positivity keeps growing.
(1) I have a load of laundry on the line and one about to go out when I post this. I know it's sad but I do like seeing laundry drying in the sunshine, especially as soon it'll be tumble drier weather again.
(2) I've been listening to Gerard's album which means I've listened to Brother. My heart!
(3) It's sunny today and the temperature has started to drop and outside I can see the trees starting to turn colour and conkers ready to fall, so it's just the kind of autumn weather I love.
I tag you reading this right now, that other you reading, and yes, you too. Go spread some positivity.
Not today but some thing I enjoyed at the weekend. We went to the garden centre and saw this fun minion haybale art.
We also went to dad and Pauline's for a curry dinner, which was very delicious. I did laugh at one point though because the older he gets the more James has gone off spicy food. Pauline had made two kinds of curry, a korma and tikka. Most of us had a try of both, including James, and I could tell the tikka was too hot for him. Then Pauline dished out the leftovers, and unlike the first time when we served ourselves, put the food onto the plates herself, to ensure it was fully used up I assume. James' face when he was presented with a huge plateful of the tikka and not korma cracked me up. Just thinking about it now makes me grin.
Returning to the theme of brothers, mine had an operation on his varicose veins last week. Sadly his recovery has been really rough and he ended up in the ER on Sunday and back at the hospital again yesterday due to the worry he had a bad infection or DVT. It turns out to be neither, but does have a nasty surface clot which means he's on blood thinning meds for six weeks. He's not at all happy, especially as he can't afford to take more time off work. But considering his work means ten hour days on his feet and he can barely walk right now he doesn't really have a choice.
