Dec. 22nd, 2014 12:38 pmSign ups are open for
picfor1000 over at LJ. I sucked hard core writing wise last year but that challenge will always be special to me, so as soon as I saw the post I knew I was going to sign. It's multi fandom so if you want to try your hand at writing a story in exactly 1000 words to a visual prompt, sign up and give it a go. The theme this year is unlucky omens, I feel I should already be saying, sorry Way bros.
Mam and James went to the Metrocentre on Saturday. I considered going but am at the tail end of having a cold, so while I didn't actually feel sick I also didn't want to go tramping around a huge shopping centre. They both had a good time, though. So I had no guilt at all in deciding to stay in where it's warm and watch some TV.
Yesterday was a day of wrapping presents. As James is working the 23rd and 24th today is the last day we can go and do the family gift exchanges. Thankfully we pretty much have everything we need, and food wise have grocery deliveries booked for today and tomorrow. Though I suspect a visit to Lidl will happen when we're out. Their Christmas range is far too tasty.
The only thing delivery wise I'm waiting on is a complete set of the A Song of Ice and Fire books for Corey. He has my set at the moment but one of them has water damage after it got wet in the bathroom, so I thought I'd buy him his own set. I just hope they get here in time. They've been dispatched so I still have hope.
The Strictly finale was excellent on Saturday and I enjoyed The Apprentice last night, so A+ all round reality TV shows.
And now I must go and make like Santa and deliver some gifts.

Date: 2014-12-22 07:37 pm (UTC)I would totally have decided to stay at home even if I hadn't had a cold. Huge shopping centres are terrifying places.
I'll keep my fingers crossed Corey's books will arrive in time. (Did you drop your book in the bath? :-)
I hope you'd fun being Santa!

Date: 2015-02-09 07:56 pm (UTC)Huge shopping centres are terrible when they're busy. I'd always chose to stay home then.
His books arrived on Christmas eve, so just in time, and yeah, I dropped my book in the bath. The only one I've ever done that to, and it was one of the big, thick ones from a collection.
