turpsFirst, the tumours found in Kayleigh's stomach were nothing sinister, which is a huge relief. When she called the hospital yesterday she was also told that her operation is next weekend, so she had all of a day to prepare for the special diet that starts today.
Kayleigh's my sister btw. I keep forgetting some people haven't been reading me for a thousand years.
Second, no_tags writers have been revealed.
I love no_tags so much. I always make an effort to read every story and I've never been disappointed that I've done so. Because the stories are so short it means I have the time to check out pairings that I normally wouldn't, and every challenge I'm reminded how smart and talented the writers are. To grab a prompt and write a story -- and in every case, a good story -- within a week really is a wonderful thing.
So, kudos to all the writers, and much love toinlovewithnight for keeping the challenge running. My fannish year wouldn't be the same without that burst of adrenaline and *refreshrefreshrefresh* as the prompts are about to go live.
I wrote the below and am happy how it turned out. I had this whole back-story about why they're doing what they're doing and had a lot of fun thinking about Pete blurting out people's thoughts, but never in a malicious way.
Quite a few people guessed I wrote this in the guessing post, which makes no sense as I changed my scene breaks and everything! *g*
