Mar. 15th, 2015 05:19 pmHappy mother's day to all the UK mam's out there. I hope your day has been lovely.
Corey got me this Lush gift set so as soon as I post this I'm off for a long soak in the bath while finishing up reading Foxglove Summer, which I'm enjoying a lot, especially seeing Peter Grant away from London.
We've been to see nanna and mam. Mam liked the presents we got her, except the pjs we'd bought her had been swapped so the top was one size and the bottoms another.
It was Comic Relief on Friday, so we celebrated with our red noses.
Of the not so good. James got a letter from work yesterday saying at the end of this month his wages will drop to half if he's still off sick. We're not blaming his work, he's got a really generous sick pay of six months at full pay. Unfortunately, he's about to hit that six months due to having all the time off for his wrist operation last year and now this. Hopefully when he goes to the fracture clinic a week tomorrow the bones will have started to knit and he'll get a light-weight cast that means he can go back to work, even if on limited hours and duties. If it hasn't, well, we'll still be okay, just we'll have to tighten our belts for a while.
Okay, time for that bath and book. It's been a busy day and I intend to end it in a sweet smelling and slothful manner. And hope that photos of Frank and Mikey together at Frank's show have surfaced, because surely they must exist *hopes*

Date: 2015-03-16 05:42 pm (UTC)I do have loads on my Kindle I've downloaded over the years but have no idea what most of them are. I'll have to pick one at random and hope for the best.
Thanks for the bones good thoughts.

Date: 2015-03-16 05:43 pm (UTC)I had an excellent bath and intend to have another very soon as I didn't finish my book.
It's the red noses, man, they make anything look ridiculous *g*
I really hope so. It's the heavy back slab that's the issue at the moment, so everything is crossed they can change that next Monday.

Date: 2015-03-16 05:44 pm (UTC)I'm really enjoying Foxglove Summer. I'm just glad I had it ready to read after finishing the book before. That was one plot twist I didn't see coming.
