turpsCorey went to his computer game night yesterday. Took his gaming desktop computer then him and four of his friends spent the night playing the same game in the same room.
Which is fine, but then this morning he phoned at 6am to ask if we'd left the key out of the door so he could get back in. What's up with that, kidlet? Phone when you get home if the key is in the door, not before you head back. It wasn't in the door, btw, you know, because I knew he was out and didn't want to lock him out.
Thankfully we had to get up an hour later anyway as James is working at the airshow today. But even so.
Like I said above James is at the airshow. He works there with the ambulance public relations, showing people around the ambulance and giving out freebies, which is why I have a little pile of rulers, coasters, keyrings, pens and coin trolley tokens on the desk next to me. He had a great day yesterday and it looks like today will be good too. Well, until around 3 when it's supposed to start raining and not stop for days.
With James out all day and Corey asleep I've been writing. I have a pact withsperrywink that we'll both write our Magic Mike Mike/Ken stories and so far mine is coming on okay. I'll be at 3k soon and suspect I have a couple of scenes to go. So, not long at all, but enjoyable to write.
Then maybe I'll read something later. That would be nice.

AND YAY STORY!! Making a pact was definitely the way to go. We're both doing so well. When we post, we will double the number of Mike/Ken stories, and probably triple the words count devoted to them. We rock.
I was thinking that magic Mike XXL would make a great Yuletide fandom.

YES WE WILL! I'm really surprised at the lack of fic, all I've found is a small handful, and none particularly good.

No, none of the available Ken/Mike fic is what I want either. It is all unrequited, angsty stuff from the first movie, all 2 of them. Which, just no. And the majority of the fic that came out of the first movie involved the Kid and Mike, which just no. The Kid was annoying and a douche. I was glad he ran off with Dallas.
So yes, we are going to lift Ken/Mike into the stratosphere with our stories! Hee!
I actually already have an idea for a PWP??? I have some dialogue I didn't use in this story, but would be nice to build a PWP around...

Awesome! I was sitting thinking about AUs this morning. I'm not actually planning on writing any, but it was fun to think about.
