turpsToday we found out dad has pancreatic cancer.
He's got a huge tumour but they'll check that out more on Monday morning, and also put in some kind of stent things to help the jaundice. Then hopefully he'll come home Tuesday before treatment is arranged at the cancer department hospital in Newcastle.
I don't know if dad hasn't fully taken it in, or has and can't communicate how he actually feels. Probably a bit of both.
But his score isn't high enough that they're not willing to try any treatments. That has to be a positive.

Not yet. He's been passed to the specialist cancer hospital and they want him to have a procedure that will show how advanced things are etc. But dad is unsure if he wants to know.
