Oct. 6th, 2015 04:56 pmJames has his appointment with OC health today, and is going back to work on a phased return from next week. They all said how much better he's looking, and he is, getting the right meds so he's not in pain and his muscles tensed is a huge thing. Though getting into the habit of early wake-ups again is going to be tough.
Dad has decided he doesn't want to know how advanced the cancer is, and the only treatment he wants is the stents to keep the jaundice away. He just says what will happen will happen and it could be months or years. Logically I get it, the Parkinson's has already taken away his control of his body, and now the dementia side of things is starting to appear. His short term memory is shot and he's going through so many indignities that will continue to get worse. So yeah, logically I get it. But man, knowing still hurts.
Other than that, I'm fine, James is fine, Corey is fine. It's Houghton Feast time so last night I saw the fireworks and I went down to see the parade on Saturday and I did go and walk in the sunshine at the country park. I went to Metrocentre today and bought stuff from Lush and tried on a coat in Evans that I really like, and it fit really nicely which was awesome. The Lush stuff, gah! The Christmas collection is out so I spent time examining glittery bath bombs and bubble bath bars and new soaps. Not that I need any as I've enough Lush soap to last me well into next year, but still. That new soap will be mine. As will the pink flamingo bubble bars on a stick. #lushaddict
