ETA a day later: Well, I got the codes right, woke up, saw no comments and realised I'd posted private. Nice one, self.
A bunch of cards arrived today, so I want to thank
nopseud,
saba1789,
sperrywink,
augustuscaesar,
digital_diva,
ihearthings_ii and
teigh_corvus. You're all very lovely and fantastic people ♥ always.
I feel bad that due to not doing an official card post some people didn't get cards due to me using old address posts. Next year I'll try to be better.
Yesterday I went to see the doctor about my knee. It seems I've damaged the ligaments to one side but sadly due to the lymphodemia there's no way they can wrap it without risking infection. Mainly it's okay walking around, I just have to be careful as it heals, but getting into the car can be so horribly painful. There's just something about that movement that pulls on the ligaments as I lift and then turn my leg. Mostly I manage by getting my foot into the foot-well with my knee straight and sort of hopping toward the seat, but yesterday we'd gone to Tesco and I got in the wrong way and the pain. Ouch.
I had to use the balloon card I was given for the first time when the doctor was going to prescribe painkillers I was sure I couldn't use, and I was right. So I have another kind I'm taking four times a day. I tell you, man, it's one thing after another lately.
But, while I was at Tesco I bought a cheap hand held vacuum and it's fabulous. I got it because inevitably after hoovering with the big hoover and putting it back in the cupboard one of the cats would leave a tuft right in the middle of the floor. With the mini hoover I can just leave it charging all the time and suck up those tufts in seconds.
We're getting a bit of a battering from storm Frank today so I've been staying in where it's warm and catching up on some reading and tv. I've got tea cooking in the slow cooker and intend to take myself off for a long bath soon, but first, this. An excellent challenge that's run by very awesome people. I highly recommend it if you haven't taken part before.
