Well, I didn't finish all the exercises in my shoulder class, but got many more done than last week. Plus, the physio kept stressing how well I'm doing. He makes me smile, he's so enthusiastic and encouraging and great at pushing your shoulders into the right position. I find keeping my shoulders pulled back surprisingly hard while using the hand weights. The exercises themselves are doable, but painful on the bad shoulder on occasions, but getting the right form is another matter. I did side-eye the exercise that involved using a huge blown up gym ball as I could see it either bursting or skittering away under me. One for next week I think.

Five Things That Have Made Me Happy In the Last Few Days

BSB on Strictly. Admittedly it wasn't the most exciting performance, but it was lovely to see them, especially so as popslash remains one of my most favourite fandoms.

Seeing the leaves change colour. I love autumn, it's my favourite season and I love seeing all the trees with their beautiful colourful leaves. I love kicking at the leaves that pile up on the pavements, and that nip in the air.

Company Shop. This may be a weird one but Company Shop is a shop that's just opened locally. Only NHS workers can join, and the premise is they sell on surplice stock from the big supermarkets at a much reduced price. I'm talking bottles of milk for 20p, fresh vegetables and fruit for 20p, fresh meat for £1. Because it's surplice stock they never have the same core items, so you have to keep your eye on the FB for that days bargain -- like today is three tubes of Colgate Whitening toothpaste for £1, but it's already saved us so much money. And yes, I'm that sad that I get happy over grocery shopping.

Getting feedback for my fic. I love getting comments, it's such a good reminder that I am actually capable of stringing words together, even if I haven't actually written anything in a really long time.

My cats, I have four of them and love each one. Tinker and Freesia who battle to sit on my knee on a night, Milo who sleeps on my pillow and Pansy, my little scardy cat who will never be a lap cat but always comes to sleep between me and James on a night for all of five minutes before taking off on some unheard signal.

IThe shoulder class is an excellent addition to the exercises I do at home. Probably because people are there to correct my form. I've four more classes to go, so hopefully, by the end, I'll be on the way to having a pain free shoulder.

Autumn is such a beautiful season. I love days like today where it's sunny but cool, leaves fluttering down and all the trees such amazing colours.

Form is so important with exercises - it's really good to have a place where you do them with someone checking. You'll soon be able to do it on your own, but getting into that correct groove really matters.

Four cats! I mean, with my two I discovered that it is like having cat squared, or even cat cubed, the way they interact and their personalities differ, etc—having *four* must be amazing! I don't have a lap cat (yet?) but Sable is more willing to snuggle into my legs than she used to be, and Fluffykins will snuggle if she's in the mood.

I've found someone checking the exercises really helpful. It's amazing what just a little shift in position can achieve, hitting the muscle groups that are supposed to be targeted. Though, that doesn't stop me wishing I could have tips before I do full reps incorrectly at first. But sadly, with it being a class I can't be watched at all times.

Sometimes having four cats feels like a lot, especially when they have one of those wild moments and all seem to run around the house like idiots together. It sounds like it won't be wrong before you have a lap cat, the progress Fluffykins and Sable have made is amazing. I have to laugh on a night, I sit with the footrest up on my recliner and tend to have one cat on my lap, another sitting at the side with some part of their body resting on me, and another at my feet. Then Pansy stays upstairs like the unsociable thing that she is.

That actually does help. I suspected they had to be sturdier than they look, but no way did I think they went to that weight. That's very reassuring.

The PT is over now. I have to admit, while I didn't mind the class I'm also glad it's done.

Having a furball around the place is always a good thing. Well, as long as it's an actual cat and not gathered cat hair *g*

He was really great. Though I ended up as his guinea pig by the end. Me and this other man, probably because we were two of the few who could easily get up and down to the mats.

I do have cats, four of them in fact. All rescues, and all wonderful.
