turpsConsidering my utter lack of anything new last year -- well, apart from challenges which are still anon or not posted yet -- I've had to go with old stuff that pretty much comes up every time I do this challenge.
So with that in mind.
Day 8
In your own space, post self-recs for at least three fanworks that you created. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
And the Painted Ponies. Mikey Way the supermodel and Frank, the bodyguard who loves him. I still love this story a whole lot. I had a lot of fun writing it. It was just one of those stories that took hold of my imagination and kept showing me scenes in my head.
When Day Is Night Alone. This is so old now, but consistently remains in my top ten of hits and comments at A03. You go story that could. Really, found family, H/C, runaways, bad things, finding a safe place. It pretty much sums up my writing self.
Risking It All In a Glance A Magic Mike XXL story I wrote for Sperrywink. I still don't get why the fandom didn't explode, the movie was ripe for thousands of stories, and yet, no.
The Holes in My Apologies, You Know. One of the few Musketeers stories I've posted. Again, it's one I had a lot of fun writing. It was nice to try something new after almost only writing bandom for so long.
It Came From Within Frank/Mikey roomie fic is one of my most favourite things ever. Plus, I'm always impressed I wrote something like this, as sex really isn't my favourite thing to write and this contains more than I'd usually write.
And the Embers Never Fade My Killjoys gsf story complete with h/c and dust storms and intrigue! And a story that will forever be known as Pink Jeep verse in my heart.
And I Get Back Up Again When I branched out and wrote Dr Death Defying/Show Pony.
Turn to Dust or to Gold. My last popslash for MTYG. I'm so glad I went out on this, unicorns, post apoc AU, JC risking his life for a book.
And finally, Blurring the Truth and the Lies AKA, nurse!Mikey and coma!Pete. I actually really like this story and other people must too as it's another that consistently stays in the top ten at A03. But what I'm including it for is some time ago I saw it recced on tumblr as someone's guilty pleasure and that tickled me. Own your pleasures, anon tumblr person. Don't class them as guilty.
