We're waiting for the remortgage lady to phone right now. The appointment time was for 1 pm and as of now, it's twenty past. Considering they didn't call at all the first time we arranged an appointment I'm a little concerned that's going to happen again.

We're also waiting for the closomat repair man to turn up. The toilet went off yesterday, the actual flush and fill working fine but the washing part wouldn't work. The emergency engineer came out but it turned out the switch was malfunctioning so kept tripping and he didn't have the right part. He said the electrician would be out today but when he couldn't say. Watch, he'll turn up with the remortgage lady eventually phones.

At least some things have gone to plan today, James needed another doctor's appointment and has been given another two weeks of the mega strength antibiotics and another sick note. He's getting better but so slowly it would be impossible for him to go back to work yet. He also got a phone call checking in on him from his line boss at work. That made him feel a little better as he got a letter last week from one of the higher up bosses saying a meeting would have to happen about his sickness before he could go back to work. But his line boss stressed they want him back on the phones as he's good at his job, just they need to know he's back at 100% before he does so, which is fair enough.

And it's now 2:30 and the mortgage lady hasn't phoned but the toilet engineer has been and fixed the toilet -- he also turned off the electric three times, hence the gap in posting -- so that's good at least. Can't say I'm happy about the bank phone call though, once was bad enough, twice is ridiculous.

Milo was at the vets last Friday but all he needed was ear drops so while the vet bill went up yet again it wasn't an enormous amount. We also had to drop off a sample from Murphy as he's had the runs for a bit. It's been happening for over a month now but as he was fine in himself the vet suggested we try probiotics at first, which we have been but they haven't been making much of a difference, and cost £30 each time which is a bit much if they're not going to help. So, we had to gather samples and they're being tested to see if there's an issue, meaning an excess payment, but thankfully insurance will pick up the rest.

hurray for the toilet repair person showing up and doing their job! Boo to the bank though - it's just kinda rude to make an appointment and then flake - twice!

Wow, that's a lot of life maintenance. What a joke the remortgage person is! I hope they're properly apologetic, and more importantly I hope they keep the next appointment.

May James's meds do their work well. It's good to hear his boss recognizes the high quality of his work!

And all best wishes to the cats also.

I see most things have moved forwards in your next post (good), but awh Murphy, that must be a bit miserable. One of ours had a similar issue and it ended up being allergies, but it was a worrying pain to get it diagnosed.

I feel for James! It must be so frustrating that it takes such time for him to get better.

Good to hear Milo only needed some ear drops! Keeping my fingers crossed there's nothing really wrong with Murphy either.
