OMG!

Just been reading the flist and seiyaharris was talking about the Connotations slash con and it's on in Tynemouth, 30 minutes from where I live!!!!

I'm just so excited just now, I've printed off the booking form because there's only 100 places but man, a slash con where I live. I'm stunned.

I've never talked to a slasher in real life. I'm so excited that this might happen, but also at the same time terrified.

I'm just....whoa"" at the moment!

I really need an icon that goes eeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!

if you can manage it, you MUST go. cons are fabulous fun, and the experience of being able to talk to people who *get* it is the best ever. it doesn't even matter so much if there are fandoms in common, because fannish behavior overrides little things like that - squeeing together about Teh Pretty is just grand.

I think I will go. It's cheap enough and having it so close to home it'll be stupid not to take the chance.

The thought of talking to people who do *get* it is weird. I've people who listen when I babble on but they're just being polite and don't understand why I love it so much.

Talking to other fans face to face just seems a wonderful thing!
