Dec. 9th, 2022 02:59 pmSome housekeeping because it's probably all I manage to write this year. My Mini Wrimo collection from last month is Here.
Chapter 1 -- Bandom MCR
Chapter 2 -- The Musketeers
Chapter 3 -- Bandom Danger Days
Chapter 4 -- The Musketeers
All individual short stories. No connection, done for fun and I still like them, even if it was all I actually managed to write.
It snowed yesterday, not much but enough to lie and then freeze overnight. And in fact, it's so cold right now it's still there, all pretty but slippery.
Not that I've been out as I'm having to wait in for a load of parcels today. Three different deliveries from Amazon, one from DPD and one from Evri.
As of now, none have been delivered and the DPD parcel is delayed with no update in terms of when it'll actually arrive. Of course, that's the one that has the cat food in it. Not that the cats don't have plenty of food, it's just, the food here is Whiskas, which they've eaten and loved for all of their lives. While the food that was due today is the food they've decided is better and now they can't have that, the Whiskas is obviously poison!
I'm not worried about the other parcels yet as they have a deadline of up to 10 pm, though I really hope I'm not waiting that long.
A man did just knock on the door with a small parcel that had been miss-delivered by Royal Mail. This miss delivery is even more perplexing than the last one. Right name and address again, but this time not even delivered to a house on our estate. The man lives about a ten-minute walk away but decided to deliver himself in case it was something for a kid. Which it isn't, but I told him I was very grateful anyway.
While I've been waiting I watched The Guardians of the Galaxy holiday special, which was fun, and while I have a thousand and one new things I could watch, decided on a rewatch of Hawkeye, because the title screen was right there when Guardians finished. I do not regret that decision.
I've also put some fairy lights along the top of the kitchen window. It may not be finished but it can be sparkly and pretty.

Date: 2022-12-09 05:04 pm (UTC)Karen Pirie is fabulous, you get a chance. Only 3 eps in the series, but they're longer, close to an hour and a half. So good!

It's like every time you think you've cracked it in terms of getting the best and right food, they change their minds.

Date: 2022-12-10 08:49 pm (UTC)You have snow too, yay! It makes everything so much lighter and prettier.
I hope all the parcels have arrived by now!
I was so lucky with Lancecat! While he of course loved the special wet gourmet food I occasionally gave him, he happily ate his daily dry food no matter what kind it was.
Fairy lights makes everything prettier!

Date: 2022-12-11 07:36 am (UTC)We do have snow, and it's snowing again this morning. I could do without the sub-zero daytime temps though. They're a shock after such a mild autumn.
Yeah, the last parcels came yesterday. Though James' main present from me is due to be delivered next week by Royal Mail. They have multiple other strikes before Christmas and I suspect he may be getting it late.
Lancecat was a good cat. Murphy will eat any dry food going which is why it's restricted now. But they both love this other food. Which of course is more expensive and in smaller packets.
They do, fairy lights are so pretty.
