We had early tickets to see The Marvels today, and I enjoyed it so much, it was fun, easy to watch and felt paced perfectly, with the bonus of not being too long. I don't want to spoil it too much for anyone, but there were scenes that made me beam and I loved the character of Ms Marvel, she was a delight. I will spoil for this, and about the end scenes
I loved when Kate Bishop appeared at the end of the film, with a nod to the Young Avengers being formed. The first cut scene was Monica Rambeau being taken care of by Beast from the X Men, so, universes crossing. The second, was a joke, literally the sound of a kitten throwing up, and I was glad I was talking to the cinema staff about Marvel films in general and what I'd thought about this one when that happened instead of staying in the seats for it. I suspected there was nothing to see when they'd put the screen lights on, but a lot of people staying seated.
The same guy I was talking to also told us that one of the screens now had actual beds in the front row, then showed us. And I mean, James sleeps on the recliners, a bed would get him nodding off for sure. Apparently, three people can go on each bed, and you pay per bed, not per person, so would never be lying next to a stranger. Even so, I'll pass.
After that we had a mooch around MetroCentre and I bought my first Christmas present of the year. James was also going to buy a wooden t rex at the same place, but when he picked it up one of its legs had fallen off. He gave it to the stallholder, then decided he wanted to buy it because of the missing leg, so she gave it to him for free.

I do like the way your mind works in terms of fic possibilities.
