turpsIt was my wedding anniversary on Saturday, and we celebrated by taking Bodhi and my MiL out for the day. Not on purpose, it just turned out a Bodhisitting day and taking my MiL home after she'd been staying here was on the anniversary, so we decided to just go out and have a lunchtime meal in a favourite restaurant of ours.
Before that though, we went to the beach where I got to ride the train with Bodhi and James. I swear, that thing has been chugging around South Shields park since I was a kidlet, £2 for a two-minute ride, but the bairns all love it, so I won't complain.
Afterwards, we headed to the fair where Bodes went on a few kiddie rides, then from there to Prego for some tasty food. Bodhi did well, and my MiL enjoyed spending some time with her, though we made for a slow moving group as I pushed the wheelchair and Bodhi kept a grip of the hem of my dress.
We dropped my MiL back at my SiL's mid-afternoon, then it was back to Kayleigh's as she was on an overnight shift and Lucy didn't finish until 8pm, so we didn't get home until heading towards nine. Then, the next morning we were back up there as Lucy was going to work before Kayleigh finished. Luckily, only a couple of hours Bodhisitting that time before we headed off for our usual Sunday shopping and I could start to put the house back to rights as I always have to shift furniture so my MiL can easily move around.
Yesterday it was my weight management talk and exercise class. We talked about ultra processed food then did our circuits and the music was good -- and the time longer because more people than spots came so extra freestyling spots were put in place -- and dare I say, at one point I actually enjoyed marching along to the Footloose theme. I'm also getting to know the core ladies who come every week to have casual conversations with, and that's great.
Then I had to walk home, which is literally all uphill, and looked like a tomato when I reached my front door.
Once I'd cooled off, because it was a lovely sunny day, I spent some time tidying the garden, putting out the courgettes etc, and saw the gooseberry bushes have fruit. Still a little small to pick yet, but very much there.
I've made Kevin an appointment with the vet for tomorrow, as I suspect his infection is coming back. While they've been happy to prescribe antibiotics over the phone in the past, he's had a few sets since he was last there and I think it's best he does get seen every now and then.

I hope so too. He's eating, drinking, going to the litter tray fine, but is obviously not feeling 100%

It's so good to hear the weight management class is going so well for you. Even if it makes you look like a tomato ;-)
I've seen tiny gooseberries here too. VERY early but it's been quite a warm May.
Poor Kevin! I hope his vet appointment went well.

Ahaha, I love that.
The little gooseberries are still growing nicely. Still not big enough to pick, but soonish I'd imagine. There are even a couple of raspberries, which I was surprised about.

There are no highly toned people, just ones doing their best, and saying how knackered they are while doing so *g*
