Jun. 10th, 2024 04:22 pmI really didn't want to go to my class today, it's cold and wet, but I went
We had a talk about protein today, nothing I didn't actually know, but it's always good to rehash stuff and have a bit of back and forward with the other attendees.
There were three new people today, an older couple, and also a youngish man. He came with someone who seemed like a support person, she was wearing a badge and lanyard, and two other people too. I have to admit, it was a bit uncomfortable as it's supposed to be such a safe place, with no judgement and with people who are in the same boat. So, three people watching doesn't really fit with that, even if they never spoke or did anything that caused concern. I got on with things, though, and just tried to ignore them.
Also, I was talking to a lady and she said I was fit. Now, I may be fitter than the lady I was talking to who has a good twenty years on me and two dodgy hips, but I'm certainly not fit. Fitter, maybe as I can now walk to the gym and back and have a class between without wanting to collapse, but hell, I'll take any compliment I can.
In good news, my phone is fixed! I finally managed to get an appointment at the same day repair place at Newcastle, and yesterday, left it there with little hope. And man, it felt so wrong to not have it with me in the hours I had to wait while it was checked and repaired. It just shows how much I rely on my phone, both for entertainment and practical stuff.
But, when I went back they said it was working perfectly again, and it was. Apparently, the speakers had corrupted somehow, so they've been replaced. It did mean my phone was factory reset meaning I have to reinstall everything, and they took my protective screen off, but at least I can hear the thing again.
While we were waiting, we had a stroll around the centre of Newcastle, including sitting in the main square and listening to an open air church service conducted by young adults singing religious rock style songs. So, that was a nice way to spend time, then I got to people watch at a small independent coffee shop where my sandwich of choice was cheese with purple cabbage, which sounds weird but was very tasty.
I've been working on my intoabar story, and I think I can finish it soon. So, my trend of managing two fics a year is well on track *g*

themoononastick as my very long time beta. Well, she's fallen into 9-1-1 Lonestar big time recently, and has just posted a beautiful TK/Carlos fic. If you enjoy the pairing, go check it out. The Harmonious Rhythm Of Wind Chimes
