A few weeks ago a letter was sent to every adult in the local area about Our Future Health both James and me decided to join, and we went to our appointments yesterday.

It was a very nifty mobile set up in the Asda carpark, and once we'd booked in we were soon in our own cubicles to get weight, height, measurements, blood pressure and blood taken.

I was pleased that the immediate results I could get were good, blood pressure, cholesterol, heart rate all good. The only negative being I need to lose weight, which I knew anyway and have been actively working on, so nothing to do there. They say they may be back in touch in the future in terms of the blood tests, but if they don't, I'm happy for them to do what tests they want on it.

James' results were all good too, except they couldn't get any blood out of him for the tests, which we pretty much expected going in.

On your account you got a link to download a £10 voucher of our choice for taking part, and we both had that in our Amazon accounts before we got home, so that was a good bonus.

Before going there, we'd gone for a walk at the seafront, and called into a café that's set on the prom. Setting wise it was lovely, but man, I had the worst skinny latte. I swear it was all milk, and they'd just dunked a coffee bean to get a bit of taste.

Friday we'd gone to see Bad Boys, Ride or Die, and it was just as you'd expect, a popcorn film that I'll probably forget by next week, but was entertaining enough at the time.

Then, driving home, Kayleigh got in touch saying that her babysitter had dropped her in it and could I watch Bodhi for a while. As it was Kayleigh and Lucy's wedding anniversary and they had bookings at a restaurant, I couldn't really say no. Not that I would have anyway. So, more bear hunting happened, though, in the house as it was evening time.

Kevin also had his follow up appointment Friday morning. He saw his usual vet and she's put him on antibiotics again as she said the congestion is still there, lodged in his sinus area. She also told us to use cat toothpaste on him, and yeah, that's going as well as you'd expect.

She is a lovely vet, though. She moved here from the US and was saying how she'd just been back for a holiday with her parents and had been saving turtles, which seems like a cool thing to do.

Weight management class today. I do wonder if I'll ever look forward to it instead of going, enjoying the talk and the company of the other attendees and then coming back thinking, well, that wasn't bad.
