It seems my Strictly spark isn't totally gone, as when I saw Nikita had announced a solo tour next year I signed up for the pre-sale within a minute. Though, boo on him having a date at a Newcastle theatre and not Sunderland.

It's a gorgeous day today, so we've been for a drive to the beach. We took my MiL as she phoned yesterday, and sounded really down, saying she never gets out of the house, and she was sick of seeing the same four walls. So, we took her to Company first so we could all check out any bargains and then off to the coast where we had iced lattes and jacket potatoes from the beach front café. Though, to be honest, the jackets were a bit heavy for such a hot day.

Before we picked my MiL up, though, it was what was supposed to be the final meeting for the weight management class, where normally we'd be discharged and sent off alone. But, Rosie confirmed that we could resign for another six months, which is great.

When we got there, one of the ladies from Monday class was also waiting, as she'd been sent a reminder about having an appointment at the same time as our joint one. I've no idea how it happened, but it turned out that Rosie's phone had sent out 10am reminder texts to everyone signed up to the programme, whether they had an appointment or not. Thankfully, it seems most people realised it was a mistake, but I do wonder if more people turned up after we left.

Anyway, results, which I'll cut for

My grand total lost for the first six months was five stone, two pounds, which I'm pretty thrilled about. James' total was two stones, two pounds, which he would have been happy about except he'd put on two pounds since last time he'd weighed himself ( We go to Boots every weekend and use their scales to keep track, we're not supposed to, and the programme says to only weigh in at each six week check in point, but yeah, doing that didn't last long, and I like having the printed slips to remind myself how far we've come )

Rosie also mentioned that as we've both been so successful she may ask for quotes from us to use as part of the programme literature that's given to the newbies. Which isn't as problem as long as she just wants quotes and not photos, too.

Technically, we've both finished the programme now but Rosie said she'd send links to re register, and I can go to the Monday class even if I'm not fully signed by next week. After discussing how the programme had helped, and me mentioning the fluid loss in my legs, she's also going to send a link to some kind of exercise that's apparently very beneficial in terms of the lymph system. So, that should be interesting to add to my at home routines.

So yes, a good meeting all in all.
