Jul. 22nd, 2024 09:44 amJust a signal boost about a UK fandom weekend that's happening 25-27 October. If that interests you, there's a post about planning the weekend and a poll about personal creating right here.
I went to see Twisters yesterday afternoon and had a fun time. As expected, a popcorn film, but the special effects were good, and I always like the buzz of being in a full theatre screen. Strangely, a couple did walk out after ten minutes, which I thought was a bit early to realise they hated a film. But I suppose it could have been a lot of things, too loud, too cold, too twister'ey.
On the way out of the cinema, we bumped into one of James' old school friends and had a fun talk about storm chasing. She asked us to go for a coffee, but we didn't have time then, but hopefully, soon.
Today I have to head off to class soon, then James has a hospital appointment this afternoon, with, hopefully, a quick visit to see Corey in-between.
Tomorrow it's the anniversary of my Fil's death, so we're meeting with my in laws for brunch. It's always a casual affair which is good as Bodhi will have to come along as I'm watching her 12-8 on Tues, Wed, Thurs. Then Friday, Rosie is going to the garage as her aircon/heating has broken. They could only offer a pickup appointment, so she'll be getting picked up Friday morning, then should be returned Friday late afternoon. Thankfully, the only thing planned for that day was going to see the new Deadpool film, and that can be easily moved.
Well, I'd better get going as I need to call in at the chemist too. I got my new compression wraps last week but opening the box saw there was only one pair in there when there was supposed to be two. There was also a label on the box saying, carton one of two, so I suspect there's another box sitting on the chemist shelf still.
