The show last night was An Evening of Burlesque, and it was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the body positivity side to things and how it was comedy acts mixed with tease. Also, so many beautiful costumes, along with more nipple tassels than I'd ever seen before. It was my first burlesque show, but I'd go to one again.

The performers always post a sort of selfie of the audience from backstage, so,





We went for a meal at the beach front restaurant we like first, mainly because it was a local derby game for Sunderland and the town was buzzing, especially as it was the last days of restaurant week, so no reservations were left for places close to the theatre.

Looking at what's coming next year, we were thinking of booking to see Tap Town, but it's on the same day as we've tickets to see The Rock Orchestra by Candlelight at the Empire theatre. I'm really looking forward to that show, and have often watched the video of Zombie that they released.

Today was a Bodhisitting day, starting at 7am, but Lucy finished just after midday so by the time we'd driven to the beach, had a walk along the front and up to the park, then back for an ice cream it was time to drop her home again.

The late night and early morning were a bit of a killer combo, though. I could have launched Alexa through the window when she went off this morning. But, I'm home now, a quick online catch up, bath and book, then I've got Strictly to watch later.

It was such a fun night. I went in not really knowing what to expect, but enjoyed everything.

I will let you know. I haven't started watching yet as I know the early shows are a slog timewise so needed other stuff done first. But I am very curious about if they made Vindaloo work, though.

I think we went to a burlesque show in Sydney, must be at least ten years ago. Fun, and very different to my usual theatre fare.

It was a fun night. Different to what I'd seen before, but in a good way.

Normally, I don't mind getting up early at all. But that morning was rough. But yeah, I did have a nice relaxing evening afterwards.

I've been looking at Rock Operas tour - I am tempted!

Sounds like an excellent 24 hours, especially if you did get to go get an early night to compensate for the short night in the middle!

The Rock tour looks fantastic. I've been dithering about booking for a while, then when I realised the show was only days from my birthday, went for it. You should, too!
