We went to see Mission Impossible -- The Final Reckoning, yesterday, and it was a ridiculous, OTT, action packed and fitting end to the series I felt. Though, I did see more of Tom Cruise in his undies than I expected.

While at the Metrocentre, I also went to get my monthly eyelash tint, but went to a different branch as the one I've been going to was busy. They actually did a better job in getting the lower lashes, but nearly scrubbed my eyeballs out of my head when getting the dye off at the end. So, not sure which one I'll be going back to next time.

Today we've picked up my MiL as she's staying until Monday, and we've come home because Sunderland are playing at Wembley this afternoon to, hopefully, get back into the Premier League. James has bought himself a EE TV day sports pass so he can watch the match with my MiL, while I'll be casually watching from my desk. So, fingers crossed that they'll win, as it'll be huge for the region to get back into the top league.

Tomorrow the plan is to go out for Sunday dinner, then bank holiday Monday, meet up with Corey somewhere before taking my MiL back home.

I'm glad you enjoyed the movie. I hope to be able to see it, but I fear it won't be coming to my local theater. (It's a big enough movie that there should already be a 'coming soon' poster up, but no indication, which isn't a good sign.)

Having your eyeballs scrubbed out doesn't sound fun. o_O

From the comment above, I take it the game went James' way? Congrats!

I hope you have a good dinner out today and a good meet up with Corey tomorrow.

We never got the new Captain America, either, but I'd think this one would be right up the red neck alley of our county. o_O

Now, I'm enjoying being in the house alone again.

I feel that so hard! There's only so much socializing a person can be expected to do. *g*

I'm afraid all those MI movies are a bit OTT for me, but glad you enjoy them!

It sounds like your cats aren't sports fans? LOL. Well, I hope your team won.

I hope you have a good visit with your MiL, and Corey, too!

I did enjoy watching the original Point Break on the big screen. And that was back (1991) when we still had really had BIG screens, before they split all those rooms in half and made the screens a lot smaller.

I don't know if you remember Tober, aka "Shadow Cat" (see icon - she died Dec 2007), the kitty I had before Lennon and Macca. But she loved watching sports. I put an ottoman right in front of the television, and she loved to sit right there. Her favorite was soccer, she'd attack the screen trying to get the soccer ball. She also enjoyed hockey, but there, she was aiming for the players. And she also enjoyed attacking the horses for Grand Prix Jumping. I wish I'd been able to capture a video (but didn't - long before I could do videos), but I'll always remember one day, a horse jumped off-screen, and Tober leapt to the side of the television set expecting to capture that horse! It was hilarious! None of my other cats have cared much about television, but Tober LOVED watching sports, but didn't care much about regular shows or movies.

Glad you had an enjoyable visit!

Good to hear you enjoyed yourself at the movies. Despite all the undies :-)

Getting your eyeballs scrubbed out sounds quite bothersome so yeah, might not be worth it.

I hope they won and got back to the top league! Also that the MiL visit went well and you all had a good time.
