Feb. 11th, 2004 08:42 pmI really shouldn't say that I'm going to catch up on things for an hour or so. I just curse myself, I should know that. I've just sat down for the first coffee of the day. Do you know how wrong that is? If it wasn't for the Pepsi Max I was scarfing down I may have been in caffeine withdrawal.
First my dad came with Corey and my cards. He brought mine because he said he might be on holiday next week so this way only had to do the one trip. I asked him where my present was and he said I was too old for presents, which he's been saying since my 16th birthday, so 16 must be the present cut off age in his world. Then the best friend came so we all talked for a while. When she went I'd just sat down when the whole clan of in-laws arrived, just after 1. BIL was also there which made for a frosty atmosphere because of the prostitute thing. Corey and his friends came home and we had tea then mam (who was tipsy) arrived with my brother and sister. The in-laws went soon after she came and I had to sit and listen as she babbled on about the builders, while Highlander was on! I looked up at one point and Darius was dead, and I was all WTF?! Must remember to catch the repeat in the morning. I did see Mac hug Richie which was of the good.
So yes, I'm ready to face plant on the keyboard just now and I haven't even done that much. But we've had fun and that's all that matters :)
Thanks again to everyone that commented on my post this morning, I'm a terrible sap at the best of times and today was even sappier than usual. I should try to be all cool and organised, however, I think I'm destined to be a sappy flake, and as such....
*hugs and kisses the flist, some with tongue, some chastely on the cheek, pick your poison* You all are awesome!
ETA: Forgot to say, dad did bring something. Three more Mills and Boon books, his fiancee seems to think I like them and sends them up. I mean, Mills and Boon, can they be any more wrong?

Date: 2004-02-14 01:41 am (UTC)I do know you like hugs and schmoop, it's me, I'm weak and let stories veer off, but I won't do it that time.
As long as I can have hurt first ;)
