Oct. 13th, 2008 02:34 pmBelated birthday wishes go out to
dine. I hope you had a fantastic day <3
You know, I feel my family should have had some kind of meeting to stop the clusters of birthday problem. It was my nephew's birthday last week, my sister's yesterday, and another nephew's today. Fail family. Fail!
It did mean I got to spend time with Lewis this morning. He turned one today and is this gorgeous big blond baby with the best giggle. For some reason he doesn't crawl, just shuffles around on his bum, and it's the funniest thing ever.
Because I'm sure you were all sitting on the edge of your seat waiting for an updated word count. If I manage 1000 words today Bob in Spaaaace! will be the longest thing I've ever written. Which is very happy making, but also makes me whimper when I think how much more needs writing. Whimper like my poor characters who are going through ANGST AND WOE!
I was briefly tempted by a bandom christmas fic exchange earlier, but talked myself out of it quickly as SeSa will always come first and no way could I write two stories at once and more importantly. Bandom fic exchange. This is me intimidated as all hell.
In other news. At the moment it looks like I got in a fight with a cactus and lost. I love Pansy, but her claws are sharp and she likes to climb up me constantly. I'm covered in scratches and red pin pricks, all up my legs, my belly, my arms, my chest. I even have a scratch on my nose.
To end. A picture I've been loving lately. ( How so pretty, Mikeyway? )
Ha. I lied. Because I feel you need to hear my story of fail. My dad gave us a Dyson he'd bought, saying it was too complicated for him. Which, awesome. I soon worked out the attachments and was feeling very smug, until yesterday when I tried to empty the damn thing. Would it open? No it would not. In the end, with James' help, the bottom of the canister dropped open and it was emptied that way. Is it the way you're supposed to empty it? I suspect not. But it's the way I'll do so from now on.
