Jan. 13th, 2010 03:03 pmThe variety of stories being posted at
no_tags is amazing. I've barely skimmed the surface yet and can't wait to get stuck in and read more. Sign ups are also open for Bandom Big Bang. I've joined up for both waves, plan being I actually finish the pre-school teacher story for wave one and something new for wave two. It should be pretty easy to get a new 10k on the pre-school story, but I'm not even going to start that until pic for 1000 is done and a handful of ficlets I owe.
James went back to work on Monday. He's been off for months so I've been getting used to being alone during the day again. I have to admit, I like it. He'll need time off later in the year as the operation didn't work as well as it could have. But that's ages away yet. I've been playing on the Wii during the day. It's so nasty outside that I've been taking walks around Wii island instead. They're supposed to be jogs but I go for fast walks, and get cheered on by the watching Miis, which is nice. I like the cycling too, though I get competitive at that. I wasn't until I won a race and since then it's a point of honour that I keep my stats up. By the time I'm finished my arms feel like they're going to drop off. As for the sword fighting. I rule at bashing heads.
Sadly Corey's X Box live is still messing with the connection to my computer. Which means I'm offline when he's online, which of course is late afternoon/early evening. He's getting a wireless connection thing for his birthday so hopefully that'll help. Until then we're sharing. Silver lining, I'm getting caught up on my downloaded TV. Also rediscovering Word for writing.
