Like everyone else who use Yahoo I had my storage bumped right up which is wonderful, no more bright red bars and mails from BT/Yahoo saying I'm about to go over my capacity. Of course anything involving BT can't be too simple so I had to change some settings related to verifying mails or something before I could send anything. When I was messing around with my account I saw 100 bulks mails the same all saying an outgoing mail hadn't been accepted. Cue paranoia from me, despite having my firewall up and Norton updating daily. So I spent frustrating hours scanning with every virus tool I have, which is a lot. They all say Silver's clean, but those mails still worry me a little.

Grrr, why have a mobile if you won't answer it! If someone doesn't answer me soon I'm going to throw my phone out the window! Gah, I'm so frustrated now I can't remember what I was thinking about.

Oh well, couldn't have been that important, not that anything I post ever is, but still *g*

I saw a meme earlier and it involved FFnet which made me happy because I have a strange and twisted love for that place, then when I saw the results I was even happier.

1. Use fanfiction.net's Search >> Story By Summary and look up your name in either Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings.
2. If there are any Mary Sues that share your name, pick the worst-sounding one and post the summary.


The only result for LoTR was Terri and Alex never realized life would go like this and a few people will know why that made me laugh so much. We met Legolas, and rode horses and were blown up ending in the LotR universe!

This morning James ended up hauled in front of court the poor guy. Earlier this year he got a parking ticket because his disabled parking badge was upside down ( yeah, I know ) so he appealed and somehow the paperwork was lost. This morning he took another letter to the court and they made him go in front of the judge and he had to swear that the info he was providing was the truth. I don't really know details because he phoned on the way to work but I know he never thought that would happen. I have to admit that I laughed when he told me, because it's so ridiculous but he didn't sound happy at all, he was saying he thought he was going to be sent down or something. I'll have to get the details later because it sounds weird to me.

I've been happily writing today, which makes me so happy. The last week or so writing anything was almost impossible, that ficlet took almost three days to do and it was less than a page, but that's over with now, until the next time anyway. Which is a good thing as writing wise I've a full plate, the AU, a TrickC and a pairing I've only done very briefly, so writing a full story for that will be interesting.

All the MX on tv is making me a very happy bunny,and I've decided that I like season 3 a lot. I even like Lexa and I hated her at first. They're pushing the het a lot but I'm well trained and can ignore that. I can wear my tin hat with the best of them and justify anything. Jesse is having sex with a woman? It's because he'll do anything for his team, however much he hates it ;)

odds are if you have those email bounces its because someoen was cloning your email address.

it has nothing to do with your computer.

do you have that email address on file anywhere online?
(like on a webpage or a form)

someone could be snagging it to spam.

Wow about James-- this is something that wouldn't really happen in France since here, everyone can even kill somebody with their car and they won't risk anything! Okay, it's the bitter citizen in me talking, but we don't have the highest rate of death on the road in Europe for nothing --or one of the highest, I don't know if things changed... French drivers are some of the worst *shudder*

They're really strict about driving here. James was pulled by the police last week because one of his brake lights had gone off. There needs to be some middle ground I think, between being too strict and too lenient.

There is actually some decent stuff on there. The problem is you have to get through a hundred terrible stories to get to one good one.

They don't allow RPS, I read Mutant X fic there. There's not much MX stuff around so I take it where I can get it. You'll do anything when you're desperate *g*

Man, you don't know how glad I am to be writing again. Since reading that post where writers I think are awesome were slammed as being terrible I couldn't seem to get a paragraph flowing. Today though that block seems to have gone, thank goodness.

I'm still undecided about season three, even though it's been over for several weeks here. On the one hand, we have two great Brennan/Jesse episodes (even if they did put a totally illogical het-save ending on the second one--you know the type where they're afraid they've made the guys look too gay so they take the last five minutes and make the whole story be about the girl, whom no one had thought of or mentioned for the other thirty-five/forty minutes of the show? Yeah.) On the other hand, the last episode was some serious shark-jumping, plus that whole thing with the Dominion was kind of weird from the beginning. Plus, the emphasis on Jesse/Lexa and Brennan/Shalimar kind of made me want to hack up a hairball. Am I the only one who never, ever saw chemistry between Brennan and Shal?

Sounds like your traffic laws are very strict. Around here, people think nothing of parking in the handicapped parking even without stickers or tags; I don't think anyone would look twice at one that was upside down (except to be impressed that the person in the parking space actually had a legitimate claim to it).

I agree with everything you just said.

Shal is flirty with EVERYONE; she's a Feline Feral, her affection is physical. That's it. She spent Seasons 1 & 2 calling EVERYONE "Honey", etc, including one-shot characters, then the uber-crack Season 3 writers came on board... *rolls eyes*

And I fully support the "wow, they CAN park there" sentiment too, lmao

You've hit the nail on the head with S3 for me. I've seen the last episode and most of the first half and I am enjoying it. I hated Lexa at first, but I suspect that's more of a reaction again Adam and Emma being gone. I am enjoying her now but she's still not part of MX to me. S1 MX is where my heart lies, the 5 core players who were fighting Mason and were a group of people that actually liked one another. None of this animosity, in fighting and lies that were brought in from S2.

I've been noticing that they've been strongly pushing the het, and it's something that I don't like. I think a couple have to have natural chemistry, trying to create it is bound to fail. Plus adding the so called love interests annoys me. Brennan and Jesse do work well together and the writers seemed to embrace that in early episodes. I hate that they took the so called 'normal' way out because you're right, Brennan and Shalmiar had no chemistry at all. Friends sure, but that's all. Shalimar never looked comfortable acting loving with Brennan and vice versa, it's a disaster waiting to happen. Two alpha mutants, they'd clash within days IMO.

As for the last episode. I haven't written about it on here because I still can't get my head around what happened. The writers lost the plot and as much as I'm mourning the show if it kept on going in the direction it was it was a good thing it ended.

What it comes down to is I love season 1. Those are the episodes I watch over and over. I liked some of season 2 and am liking season 3 more than I thought I would, but some things annoy the hell out of me.

The traffic laws are strict, too strict at times. A lot of people suspect they're that way to get more money from fines etc, and really who can blame them?

I totally agree the main cast are good, but some of the supporting cast are so wooden they creak.
