I saw Spiderman2 last night. It was a good movie but nothing that special. What was good was James had to wire the Playstation into the main tv so we could watch the disc. Our DVD won't play copy discs even with the hack, but the playstation does. Which means I can watch my Nsyncland DVDs on a big screen at last. I'm thinking maybe the Celebrity bootleg because I've never been able to watch it on my PC because the bobbing and weaving of the camera made me dizzy up close.

I found out yesterday that Kay's best friend is living at mam's after being thrown out of her house by her dad. They had this huge argument over turning the tv over and he threw a pizza at her and told her to get out and he never wanted to see her again. I don't get it, I think if you make a choice to be a parent you make that choice for life. Sure how you're a parent changes, you don't do the same things for a pre teen than you do for a 19 year old, but at the same time you're still a mam or dad. I don't know, I'm being an idealistic idiot probably. I just think it's all kinds of wrong.

Enough of that though, we don't want any stinkin rl in here.

Does anyone know if popslash ever had anything like the [livejournal.com profile] ds_undercover thing? You know where anon stories are submitted and people try and guess who wrote them. It seems a cool idea.

My plans for the day are to scarf down loads of hot orange and lemsip because I'm feeling all blah, and clear the last of my ficlets. Porny lambs with a side of JoeC first, which you know breaks my heart because can you see the problem? *shakes head mournfully* Also, you know that fleshy part under your thumb? I've no idea if it has a real name, but mine hurts, especially when there's pressure on it or you give it a poke. Which of course leads to me poking it to see if it still hurts. It does. So I repeat over and over again, because I'm just that dumb.

Before I go, another welcome which means I can use my waving arm *g* So welcome [livejournal.com profile] aotearoagal *waves* After seeing your user info I had this spiel ready about how I still like TS though it doesn't look like it, then saw you're falling for the sparkle. To which I say, join us. Embrace yourself in the glitter, sdbs and cutesy names. It's fun, really it is. I'll give my usual warning that I'm not that interesting but welcome anyway, lurk or not, I only bite on request ;)

Oh, and LJ? Thanks for coughing up some comments over a week old, you're too kind.

Not only you *g*. I do that all the time, I just have to test if it still hurts and I poke and poke and poke and poke ;-).

No, you're not being an idealistic idiot. When I realized many parents aren't like that, I was shocked. I thought all parents were.

Ooooh! Image *giggles* Sorry, couldn't help myself.

I must have missed that warning...which is good, because I do find you interesting. *grins*

My dad kicked me out just before my 19th birthday because I took my mom's side in an argument. (They were separated shortly before he kicked me out.) I agree that a parent shouldn't kick their kid out over something like a disagreement... But, then, my dad never was the most responsible of people, so...

The parenting thing? I totally agree. One thing--I think a lot of people didn't actually make a conscious choice to become parents. It wasn't something they thought about and mulled over and considered and whatnot. For a scary number of people, it was an accident, and for a lot more, it was just what you do, like get a job and grow up.

I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing at me. I have one vertebrae in my back that is in terrible pain. You can put pressure on any other vertebrae and they're fine, but barely touch this one and it's like someone pushing a knife into my back. It's been like that for at least six months. Despite the pain, I seem to feel the need to press around just to find the one that hurts. And I keep doing it, too. Especially if I feel a tinge there or sit in a chair that presses against that spot and causes pain. I have to follow that up by pressing on it with a finger, just to be sure. I guess it's just normal human nature. LOL

I found the Celebrity bootleg difficult to watch, too, for the same reason. I pretty much ran it through on fast forward until I found the Beatles medley, which is the reason I bought it anyway.

It is an insane thing to do, hurt yourself like that but I think most people do. At least I hope they do and not just you and me *g* Your back sounds so painful btw. Ouch!

I love that the Celebrity bootleg is available, it's just a shame it's so rocky. I guess beggars can't be choosers.

Thanks, it seems such an obvious thing but it's apparently not.

*blush* I read my entries and I seem boring, but I'll take your word for it :D

As soon as I have medical insurance, I'm off to the doctor's office ASAP. I hope you're feeling better.

I'm glad all the bootlegs are available, even if the quality is less than great. It's better than not having them at all. I can't complain about the price, even if I only watch it once.
