Friday night I was happily watching the Olympics opening ceremony when I was hit with a wave of ick. The shivers, tired just altogether blah. I curled up on the couch under the blanket and slept most of the night until bed. The reason for this was shown when I woke the next morning and saw another infected lump on my leg. I wasn't happy I tell you. I felt better later as James blew off his second overtime shift and we went out for the afternoon.

We loaded Corey's bike in the car, the dog, our mini camping stove and set off to the ford. We actually found it this time too. What was funny was we got to it and James totally chickened out at driving the car through. There were all these kids playing there and they're all going 'go through it's safe' but he reversed and waited until another car did it and proved you wouldn't get swept away in the river *g* So we went through and it was freaky seeing the water half way up the car doors, drove out the other side, turned around and did it again. For a reason though as the kids playground was on the other side. We parked up just up from the river and Corey went with a load of other kids playing in the water. There were stepping stones to get across but I didn't try as knowing my luck I'd fall in mid way. I did let Tex have a swim and got wet anyway when this kid filled his cap with water to throw at his sister, miss threw and soaked me. Then a car came through and though I thought I was safe at the side I wasn't at all as the backwash of water came right over my feet. It was gorgeous there. The only problem was I was watching Corey when I came over really faint. I've never actually fainted before but I was seconds from passing out where I stood. How I got back to the car I don't know, but I did and had to sit with my eyes closed until the world came back into focus. Which was really freaky I must admit.

After we drove onto the moors. It's so cool, there's cattle grids on the roads so it means the sheep wander all over. Corey was in heaven as he loves animals. He's got a disposable camera and was taking a load of pictures of sheep. Sheep standing, sheep lying down, sheep with horns, sheep with spots *g* We eventually came to this beautiful spot. It was next to the stream and was lush with grass and heather. There were big rocks scattered around so we set up the stove on one of them and James made hot sweet black tea while Corey played in the water. I swear it's one of the most gorgeous spots ever. I was sitting on this grassy ledge, enjoying the sun and taking in the utter stillness. We would have stopped longer but bad planning meant we had no food and were all starving. So we drove on again and eventually bought chips from this small village then ate them on the moors again. It was just a perfect afternoon you know? I think we're doing it again on Friday but we'll take a picnic this time. I also took a load of pictures but I'll spare you all *g*

Then we came home and I fell asleep on the couch at eight. Woke at twelve, took my tablets, went to bed and woke up at nine to send James to work, and that's what I call a good sleep.

In the tradition of telling you all my sdb dreams, my long sleep made me dream the weirdest things last night. Kevin and Nick were in hospital, no idea why, but the thing was I was actually Nick. I'm channelling Nick Carter, which amused me a lot. We had beds side by side in the children's ward and to show how vivid this thing was I could tell you exactly who the other patients were, names and everything. Why we were in a children's ward I don't know as we were far too old to be there. But the thing to note was later on when Kevin's family came to visit. He changed from his pjs into, get this, a short leather mini skirt and this pink short top that showed off a lot of skin. I don't know man, my mind is insane I swear.

More good things to note. The most wonderful comment this morning from a stranger about my stuff. The kind that makes me grin like a loon and want to hug random people because I feel so good. Unexpected comments make my day so much, it's why I try to comment if I enjoy a story because I know how much it means to the writer, and I'm not knocking anyone who doesn't comment here. I didn't for a long time and I know there's reasons why people don't comment, but I'll stop covering my ass and go back to the fact the comment made my morning so far. Another good thing, a postcard from [livejournal.com profile] interlock yesterday which made me laugh, Corey to go into raptures about the picture and James to say my friends are weird *g* Thank you, honey. I loved it.

While thinking of James. He took Corey out on Friday to buy a new house phone with caller display, because if I don't know the number I won't pick up. He came back and said he had a present for me. At which point he gave me a new washing line. Okay, first thing. A washing line isn't a present. Second thing. A. Washing. Line. Isn't. A. Present! Silly man, he nearly had the washing line wrapped around his neck I tell you.

And now I'll stop this babbling post as I've two days of flist to read and things to do in the house. We're taking the in-laws out again tonight. Probably to the pub at the beach again, but this time I won't go looking like a scruff *g*

Hope everyone is well! *hugs you all*
