There's only 8 days to connotations. That fact in turn makes me squee with delight and shake like a leaf, because I really am that pathetic. I may also be meeting interlock soon. I don't know, years as a social recluse then I make my entrance to fannish society in a rush. Who knows, I may go out visiting myself one day *g*

I went back and friends locked that post last night because I discovered the writer had a LJ and I'd hate her to link back and see the post. I guess I'll have to work on my mean skills ;)

It was the doctors this morning, where I sat on the bed and had the leg dressed while watched by two other nurses as they had nothing to do, which makes you self conscious you know? It's still icky but getting there slowly but surely, not that it felt like that last night. I had a terrible night's sleep and ended up coming downstairs at 3am where I fell asleep on the couch. Though waking up to see a nasty looking fish on the tv isn't how I'd chose to start my mornings.

Now a question. Is it possible for an ISP to be banned from contacting another one? I ask because last year I couldn't contact AOL members at all and I'm in that situation again but not with AOL. It's desperate I contact someone and I can't.

yuppers.

ISPs ban other ISPs if they're believed to be hosting spammers.

and then there's AOL who has blocked over 60% of ISPs and is being sued because of it.

your best bet on contacting that person is to get/use another email address (like gmail)

I'm weirdly not bothered by being stared at while under medical treatment : possibly a function of growing up with my mum being so sick - I get that it can be discombobulating to others though. Yay for continued healing though.

Ahhh connotations - I was really tempted to go, I have to admit. And so much more tempted that I knew you would attend too. Too bad it wasn't in London, because it would have been cheaper - still, next time I may well go because a Slash Con? So sad to miss. But I'm looking forward to next week too anyway, because it's la Gloubi Bulga Night, which I've been waiting for two years - they didn't do it last year so it was a looooooooong wait. A whole night, ie six hours of cartoons from our childhood, with some of our childhood heroes on stage... a phenomenon that is apparently typically French and which I'm so happy to be a part of lol

The new posting interface? Am liking better now that I went from 800x600 to 1024x768 - because it was a nightmare last night!

And, yes, ISPs do block each other. Comcast blocked Demon not so long ago. E-mail your ISP and let them know. It's nice to have a couple of spare e-mail addresses around for when that happens.

Yes and no *g* The lollipops thing is when we go to the Zéro de Conduite pub. It's the same spirit than la GBN but on a much smaller scale. La GBN is a huge event with a tour all around France, in the biggest theaters they can find and with 'celebrities' from our Childhood performing on stage just before we watch --and sing their themes along, indeed-- our favourite cartoons during six/seven hours. We don't get lollipops but it's much better since we receive tons of chocolate bars and can drink chocolate or OJ all night *g*

I did e-mail BT. Luckily I still had the contact e-mail after they were blocked by AOL, and I set up a G-mail account. Though it pisses me off that I had to.
