Sometimes I think if motherhood was a test I'd flunk. Saturday Corey seemed to perk up a little, not enough to go out for the day with nanna as planned but enough to go see Santa arrive at a local shopping centre. I made a judgement call so we went and it was a disaster. He's still off today after being sick again late last night. He crawled into bed with us and really he's too big to do that comfortably so I snagged the quilt off his bed and slept on the couch. Somehow I can see lots of coffee in my future.

It's James' first day at work today. He was actually looking forward to going, I think being at home 24/7 was getting too much and he needed time away. So he'll be learning all about mobiles today. I meanwhile will be watching for the delivery of a lot of parcels that are due some time today, parcels with Corey's Christmas gifts he can't see.

Lia was up this weekend and her and Kayleigh were talking about my online friends again. Since they discovered about the slash thing they're convinced being a slasher means some kind of mass online masturbation orgy. Which I'm bitter about because really if you're all having an orgy I'm getting no benefits over here. Admit it, you all do the good stuff when I'm asleep. I have to laugh as in their mind I'm the sexual deviant of the family and their questions about what really goes on at slash cons and when I'm online keep me amused because man, talk about making things sound seedy.

ETA: When you hear a huge ass crash when you're out of the room you know it has to be a bd thing. Corey was trying to help by tidying the shelf above my computer. Lets just say I came back to a scene of disaster with poor marionettes twisted together on the floor surrounded by books and bears.

actually, I'm okay. it was a nice service, and I cried the whole way through, but you know. closure. we can all move on now, which is probably a bit harsh, but all the time before was just waiting around for her to die, you know? it's like taking a deeeeep breath and then you can go on. *hugs*

Like hey, do you want me to tell you about the time --I was seven-- my mother put some ointment/cream on my arm but didn't pay attention to the date and my whole arm got burnt, like 2nd degree? She had to take me to the doctor pronto because damn it was burning and hurting like crazy and the doc started chiding my mom about not being careful, which she was all the time, just... not this time... and I glared at him and told him off, which shut him up.
