Nov. 24th, 2004 11:21 pmBy the wonder of internet shopping most of my Christmas gifts are now bought. James and I sat last night, lists at hand and ordered most things that we needed. We'll still be hitting the shops though, we're going tonight after he comes home and hopefully by the end of this week we'll be done. Now it's just a case of waiting for things to be delivered. I'm feeling quite satisfied right now and thankful for LJ friends that help me to get things I have no idea about myself.
While shopping I ended up talking pairing names with James when he looked at my site. What I'm mentioning it for is he pronounced JuC as juck, rhyming with yuck which is totally different to how I pronounce it. I go the nearly rhyming with juicy route. Then we had the 'why trickyfish' question which always seems to trip people who think they've cracked the pairing code, of course nothing beats trying to explain lambs.
I'm also satisfied about SeSa. It's plugging along nicely the only problem being if I'd continued to write what I'd planned at first I was going to end up with something far too long and that's not going to happen believe me.
All the holiday talk on the flist is making me hungry and want a holiday too. Who wants to invite me for Thanksgiving dinner? I can wash up by way of payment ;) There's all these posts that make me want to cook and I just don't do that. Well obviously I cook enough to keep us alive but I don't do the baking thing very often which makes my desire to make cookies very strange.
Uncool things is being told I have to go to the doctors three times a week from now on, thankfully you're all spared the whinging about that I subjected myself to last night and I'm at a stage now of thinking the exercise will be a good thing, which it will be. Just don't quote me that when I'm walking down there in the snow and freezing cold. I wouldn't care but I'm only there for five minutes. Wait for the appointment, go in, talk to nurse Wendy, get dressing changed and new gel put on then leave. I could do that myself at home.
But really that's a tiny thing amongst the goodness and I've been writing cards this afternoon so I don't panic about missing the last post again and planning various things and I'm going out with my boys soon to buy things that'll make other people happy. Then there's been lots of new stories to read
silveryscrape,
dreamtrance and
seeksasylum all wrote things I enjoyed and chair o sex pictures to drool over which is always good.
And now to climb on the bandwagon.
f there is at least one person in your life who you consider a close friend, and who you would not have met without being part of the NSYNC/popslash fandom, post this sentence in your journal.
And now it's later and nearly time for bed as I had to go out earlier then off shopping. More gifts have been bought, including some wishes, lights have been admired and a new Christmas CD bought for the car and listened to on the way home :) Also an hour was taken snivelling over Extreme Makeover home edition because I love that show even though it rips out my heart.

Date: 2004-11-24 04:23 pm (UTC)And lambs? Much more confusing than trickyfish. I mean seriously, LAMBS?!?! What were people thinking? I got trickyfish once it was explained to me. I still don't get lambs and it's been explained lots.
Anddddd. You can totally come visit me for Thanksgiving! I'd love to have you! :D

Date: 2004-11-24 10:09 pm (UTC)I always pronounced JuC like "juicy" and even though I'm not a big fan of the pairing, there are some stories that are fantastic and it's really not juck/yuck.

Date: 2004-11-25 12:47 am (UTC)LOL. I agree with all you say about the JuC. It's a pairing I didn't like at all but slowly I'm finding some wonderful stories.

Date: 2004-11-26 07:25 pm (UTC)Pairing names makes perfect sense to me, as do most completely incomprehensible things, like half the stuff that comes out of JC's mouth and 99.99999% of what comes out of my mom's, lol.
(and Yes, "Space Cowboy" *IS* about the human spirit, Really!)
I just thought they were Lambs 'cuz their the babies, the younguns, the ones who were still minors (and therefore Lambs as opposed to sheep, I suppose) when the group was formed. Is there another story I'm unaware of? The only other thing I can think of is Justin's fleecy 'fro, but I don't see where Lance fits in that...
