Happy birthday to both
hammerhead22 and
tennlady. I hope today is fantastic for both of you.
Thank you to
jaciesplace. The card is gorgeous and yeah, very sparkly *g* And not forgetting
ninjetti75. Josh, your package came this morning and just, thank you. You made me all sniffley in a good way. I've been good and put the presents under the tree but you know I think the same. Love you, hon. *hugs you tight*
We went grocery shopping earlier and my goodness people are insane! We queued to park, queued to get into the shop, had to navigate hundreds of people who were shopping for what looked like an army ( the bread in particular was madness, do people really need dozens of loaves? ) Then to top it all we had to queue for 90 minutes to get to the tills. We picked a poor aisle to queue up in too. We started next to the fish fingers and lets just say I now know more about fish fingers than I wanted to. We then shuffled to the prawns and good grief, everyone and their dog wanted to be at the prawns. Of course no one in the queue could move so a tiny space was made between the trolleys for the prawn people. After about 45 minutes things got exciting when we reached the jellies, custard and frozen party food. What joy! No more fish! It was at this point a woman came past with a trolley full of buns. Now there'd been none when we were in the bread aisle and we needed some, so when James suggested he'd create a diversion and I could swipe some I was tempted to do just that ;) But I was good and let her go mainly because my attention had been grabbed by something else. Frog jelly moulds. I stood and looked at them for twenty minutes, they were so green and cute. Soon I'd convinced myself I needed them even though I really didn't at all and within seconds they were in the trolley. At this point we'd reached the chicken pies and I was so thirsty I was tempted to lick the ice from the box. Thankfully before I showed myself up we were at the front of the queue! YAY! At this point James stood in the space behind the till and where the queue started and really if anyone had queue jumped at that point I would have feared for their lives.
But we're home now. The freezer stuff is away and we've just watched Elf so all is good.

Have a wonderful holiday and I'll talk to you when you get back home.
We've gotten 2 feet of snow in the last 36 hours, that's on top of the snow we already had. It's still coming down and the "guessers" here are saying that it's not stopping until Monday. blech. Makes me want to call Mother Nature up and say WTF?
