[livejournal.com profile] castalie said she wanted to see me do this and I thought I'd be good and obey her, even though I suspect she only wants me to prove how my life has been taken over by popslash ;)

Stories I finished this year:

The Ways Things Change (Choey)
Boxes ( Lambs and TrickC)
Coming Home ( JoLa)
Musical Chairs ( Chris/all)
The Best Mirror is an Old Friend (JuC)
Measured in Beats ( Timbertrick)
Words (trickC)
Layers (trickC)
Stranded ( trickyfish)
Silverpain ( sort of timbertrick)
Good Things Come to Those Who Wait ( timbertrick)
Unnamed SeSa fic.

Plus millions of ficlets and two short The Sentinel Stories.

Stories close to completion

There's two main ones. I've been writing a TS AU that's planned out for ages.( The End Series) Like I said it's planned out, I know what's going to happen and how. I'm just not writing it. The second is the Boxes Series. The sequel is maybe halfway done. I just got distracted by other stories.

My favourite: This is a hard question as I'm really quite proud of them all. Some could be written better for sure, I'd like to think I've improved this last year, but I still like them all. Saying that though I love Boxes. Both the story and the way it happened. That was so insane how a ficlet exploded and I was being cheered on by so many people as I wrote and posted as a WIP. It's also the story that attracted some attention, I kept getting friended and couldn't understand why, but it was people wanting to read along. My own tiny splash in the fandom *g* There's things I'd change about the story now and I know it's not really realistic, it's homelessness with a sparkly gloss really but I still love the story and remain in love with the guys in it.

My best: I want to say Boxes again, hell I will say it. Like I said it's not technically perfect but I think I did an okay job of showing their situation. I wanted to show that Chris and JC really loved one another and the fear of the lambs, from comments I've had I've achieved that and that's so cool.

Story most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: . I find when I post stories to my site I get much less feedback than when I post here and one story proved that easily. Musical Chairs tanked so badly, I think I got one comment and that was it. I don't think it was a bad story and I still like to re read it but it totally slipped under people's radar. Overall though I get a lovely amount of comments for my stuff so won't complain.

Most fun story: Fun for me or the reader? If it's me I'll say Words. I had a blast doing the pictures for it. The story is very simple, a bit of fluff really but who cares when you can play with graphics and imagine what they'd write to one another?

Sexiest story: I'm going to put Musical Chairs because the story was all about sex and as writing the damn thing was like pulling teeth it better be sexy. Plus I wrote my favourite sex position in where the top is sitting and the bottom lowers himself down on him and just whoa. I love that position so much.

Story with single sexiest moment: Didn't I tell you people I don't like writing sex? Stop asking things like that! ;) But I do have one. In The Ways Things Change Chris and Joey end up in the rain. They're both soaked through and it's then they have their first kiss

“Well in that case…’ Suddenly Chris stops. “Damn, Joe. Just kiss me already before I get frost bite.’

As seductions went it wasn´t the best, and Joey was still confused about a lot of things, but faced with an armful of Chris, with his bare legs, sodden hair and eyes that looked huge in his pale face, Joey can´t resist.

“Damn.’ Joey said, reaching for Chris and pulling him close between his open legs. Chris fit against him perfectly, and Joey holds him tight, one arm wrapped around his waist, the other tracing along Chris´ jaw. Chris´ mouth opens readily under his and Joey takes full advantage, sweeping his tongue inside, exploring and feeling, the hotness of the roof of Chris´ mouth, the smoothness of his teeth, the cool bite of metal as Joey traces Chris´ braces, tongue running gently over each fixing and wire.

Braces! Be still my heart. Of course that's totally my kink so it could leave others cold.

Hardest story to write: Do you want a list? Well you're getting one. There's three that stick in my mind. Coming Home was for the Joey ficathon. Which was fine, what wasn't fine was I was assigned JoLa and was writing for [livejournal.com profile] ninjetti75. I talk about my stories to Josh all the time so here I was with a pairing I'd never written and unable to discuss it with the person who usually helped with ideas. Plus writing for a friend is so intimidating. The first story I wrote was crap, I knew it but tried to get it past my beta, she called me on it, I went nooooo then went on and wrote something that people seemed to like. I kept on joining ficathons as I'm insane. For the JC ficathon I was assigned JuC and [livejournal.com profile] forceofisis. Now I respect Lydia so much as a writer and friend, add in she wanted JuC and Love and Happiness by Al Green ( someone I'd never heard of ) in the story and I nearly threw in the towel before I started. But once I actually started to write the story can pretty easy. The last is Stranded. It was for the cliché challenge and man I struggled with that. I cringed when I was writing and haven't reread the story yet.

Nice writing things that happened this year: There's lots of things. I'm thrilled with every rec and comment that I receive and really think that I've improved as a writer this year. I'm not there yet but getting there, if slowly *g* I've enjoyed every challenge I joined and had fun with ficlets which I write for the sake of them. Really this year has been all good in terms of writing, I've enjoyed it and am thrilled other people have enjoyed what I wrote too, because really that's the biggest compliment of all.

ETA: My 21 Jump Street DVDs are here! YAY! Season 1 is now in my grubby hands *dances* Also cards from [livejournal.com profile] msktrnanny and [livejournal.com profile] sirkate ( I think ) with a most lovely ficlet inside. Thank you all! Still no parcel from Amazon though, I swear I'm going to kick their ass soon.

even though I suspect she only wants me to prove how my life has been taken over by popslash ;)

Moi? I would never do such thing *cough*

I always forget that if I have BP2, you have The End... we each have our cross to bear - I feel less lonely lol

And your Boxes series has to be one of your best work, I second that. That series blew me away, I love it so much! You succeeded in writing such a complex and beautiful story that even someone not in the fandom felt compelt to follow the series religiously *g*

Hopefully 2005 will be just as, if not more, productive than 2004 has been :-)

Will refrain from doing this meme as what I wrote doesn't even classify as "stories", more as "blurbs" and there are only two, I think. ahahahaha

*pricks up ears*

A sequel to boxes? Halfway done?

*strips naked and dances around the house*

YEA!

*hugs you*

I'm sure the boxes series was the reason I friended you (that and I think you were one of the first people to ever comment in my journal) and I'm so glad I did because you're so sweet, encouraging and wonderful. And you write cool stuff. And you post cool NSync Sims stories. And I could go on and on, but I must get ready for work. *sigh*

Of course you would wouldn't.

Man, I can see me years from now thinking about The End. I'll be doing a WIP meme and still be writing down, well I have this series in TS and it will be done I just don't know when. It figures that two such awesome series are stalled like that.

*blush* Your compliments about Boxes make my day, really the fact that you read along is such a huge thing.

I was surprised how many full length stories I'd done this year. Not that they're long by some people's standards but for me they're long *g*

But the blurbs that you write are lovely! You really should write more.

I actually haven't read most of your stuff (I just dont read) but I loved Measured in Beats. that story was just wild how you wrote it.

I did this meme and I was shocked to find out I actually wrote 4 stories in 2004. amazing.

You're not just productive. You're talented, too (and your DF is wonderful!). And you FINISH stuff...do you think you could give me any advise on how to write stories with a beginning, a middle, and an ending? ;-)

My 21 Jump Street DVDs are here! YAY!
YAY! indeed! *is quite envious* I miss that series so badly, I really should get it on DVD.

Ok! You! *poke* Plans for Sunday, we need to make some, because I have to work out what trains I can get and arrange the rest of my family accordingly. So... any idea what time you'd want to meet up on Sunday? 7am too early, I guess? ;) I'll be getting the train into Kings Cross mid-morning at some point and, although she doesn't know it yet, Becca will be there to meet me. You are welcome to meet us there or meet up with us at another designated spot later on. I'll be getting the train back at about 1700/1800.

Also, rumour has it that you have a new mobile number *flutters eyelashes*

Also, also, freakin' love Boxes and cannot wait for the sequel to be finished. Just sayin'.

You'd think I'd arrange this earlier wouldn't you?

Meeting you at Kings Cross will be fine. I know you have my number so we'll arrange times etc through that. I've been trying to work out how to you know actually reply to messages. Damn new phones.

But yes, meeting there will be good. We'll have our car so can go wherever from there. You and Becca know the area much better than me.

I also have a hug for you from someone ;)

You can poke me about the Boxes sequel on Sunday if you like, and I'll remind you of my Chris/Busted/Lance circle jerk at the airport you owe me. I still remember you know ;)
