Mar. 2nd, 2005 03:30 pmJames just phoned and told me he can surf LJ at work and asked me how to comment on my entries. Once I got over the shock I told him, so everyone wave at James, he may be reading you now. Also, James, if you are reading. That hooker Chris/JC thing in my last post? I have no idea how it got there! I would never spend time thinking and writing about things like that. I use LJ to swap cooking tips and discuss the cultural differences of people around the world. Never for the hot monkey gay sex.
Do you think he bought it? ;)
I also found out mam was barred from her favourite pub on Monday after she threatened to stab a committee man, which I have to say is a relief. The more time she spends away from that place the better. I may sound awful for saying it but I hope she's banned for a long time.

James needs to get his own journal now that he is writing fanfiction _and_ commenting.

Oh, and Terri, here (http://www.heskonsult.se/Swede-L/swedlet2.htm) are some Swedish recipes for you! *grins*
I hope she's banned for a long time.
Me too. And you don't sound awful at all.

Date: 2005-03-02 04:11 pm (UTC)I don't think it sounds awful that you hope she's banned longer. I wish someone had banned my step-dad from the bars back when I was still in school. It took them moving up here for him to really stop drinking and frankly it's a relief. He's already a bitch and a half when he's sober, when he was drinking he was much, much worse. *shudders* Now even when we have company visit that drinks or when he's downstate visiting, he isn't interested in drinking.
*hugs you tight*

Date: 2005-03-02 04:26 pm (UTC)I also remember him getting pulled over for driving drunk and getting hauled to jail for the night. We got the call that he'd need bailing out at 2am; mom and I were both sleeping and the message came over the answering machine, woke us both up. Then it was mom calling a friend of the family to see if he could cash a check for us before he closed his restaurant and made the night's bank deposit so that mom could bail him out before the banks open. Fun, fun. Happened the night before I had to take some school exams. I remember Mom telling him that if I flunked my exams (since I was woken up in the middle of the night) that she was making him go to school and tell them it was his fault. lol.

And about your mom--hon, there's nothing wrong with being glad she can't go somewhere that's bad for her. Seriously. Families, eh? *hugs* We've discussed this before, wonderfulness and suckiness of familes...
