Jun. 2nd, 2005 11:43 amCorey slept at my SiLs last night and today he's going down to York with them. So, JM. If you hear a load of mackems and see a pregnant lady in a Sunderland shirt, a guy with a monobrow, a ginger toddler and Corey, well that's them ;) Sadly due to cramps from hell last night was a wash out in terms of doing anything but staying in and wanting to be shot to be put out of my misery /overly dramatic whine.
I don't think I mentioned on here that my brother asked my sister if I had a LJ. Which I wasn't amused at I tell you. He's not supposed to know what LJ is at all never mind me having one. I had frantic thoughts of OMG must go friendsonly then thought sod it. I flock most really personal things, the slash he can read about all he likes. I mean, it's not like he doesn't know. He's used my computer while I had files still displayed. Read my pocket PC when it was on a graphic Jim/Blair/Simon threesome scene, heck at one point he and his friends stood in my kitchen laughing that I had male prison rape pictures on my wall. Which I don't btw, it happened to be a scene out of the Mutant X episode Hard Time when Brennan was beating the crap out of Jesse. So yes, he's asking for some reason, who knows, he may be another badfic slasher in the making ;)
I watched Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Backdraft last night, both of which I'd seen before but they're always worth a repeat watching. Backdraft always reminds me of my dad. Of course the American fire-fighters are different to the UK ones but still, at a base level they're the same. Battling fire and saving lives. It's strange, when I was growing up I didn't really think of how dangerous his job was. He was just dad, and he never really mentioned his job unless he was telling funny stories about rescuing stuck cows and stuff like that. The end of Backdraft always makes me cry, because death always lurks among the flames for the fire-fighters. Luckily my dad got his long service medal and retired with nothing more serious than a bust shoulder from when a metal sheet collapsed on him. Ironic really that less than a year later parkinsons got its claws into him.
Moving on

The last CD I bought: I think it was the Best of Blue.
Song playing: 12 Stones: Broken
Five songs I listen to a lot or that mean a lot to me:
Savage Garden - To the Moon and Back
Backstreet Boys - Incomplete
GreenDay - Time of Your Life
Linkin Park - Somewhere I Belong
Nsync - The Game is Over
I think everyone's done this now, but if you haven't consider yourself tagged.

Date: 2005-06-02 11:14 am (UTC)O.O! I think locking your very personal posts is a good precaution... and like you say, he knows about everything else ^_~!
Backdraft always reminds me of my dad
Your dad sounds like he was a really nice guy.
I hope you are feeling better today *hands you a hot water bottle*!

Date: 2005-06-02 11:23 am (UTC)I was so shocked when she said he was asking, because it came out of the blue. I don't mind him knowing about most things in my life but some things aren't for the eyes of brothers ;)
My dad is a great guy. It's just so sad to see him struggle to do basic things when he was so healthy a few years ago.
As for me, I'm feeling much better now, but I'll still take a hot water bottle, there's something so comforting about them. Thank you :)

I love Priscilla a lot and Backdraft too. It's typical American action fodder but a good watch none the less.
*smooches with you*
