On the scale of wrongness, getting a text from your mam asking what a rampant rabbit is has to rate way up there.

I hit skip 1000 yesterday, at which point LJ wouldn't let me go back anymore. This tells me (a) I'm too nosy (b) I need to take some of the comms off my default flist view, especially some of the Supernatural ones which have really high post volume. But that skip 1000 held a lot of joyful goodness, posts celebrating the amazing achievement of [livejournal.com profile] nsync_10, Christmas wish lists and card polls, and of course, the best post of all. [livejournal.com profile] pensnest wondering if Lance's legendary dick size is canon or fanon.

I downloaded House, Supernatural and Numb3rs too, patiently, then not so patiently dealing with the computer crashes as they downloaded. The tabs weren't a problem with having session saver installed on Firefox, losing an email was another matter. My fault I know as I should save as I go on, but I just didn't.

I realised this morning that SeSa assignments may be sent while I'm away this weekend, and that just won't do at all. I need to know so I can be consoled by sparkly friends when I'm landed with something insane that makes my head hurt just thinking about it. So, fingers crossed, that e mail will arrive before I go. I've actually just been to the DWNOGA site to check my name is there and joining wasn't a figment of my overactive imagination, and yes, it's there with 108 other names, which is so cool. There's so many names I'm thrilled to see there

argh! wrong! I will happly talk vibes with total strangers, but parents? *shudder*

I'm taking my laptop so as to be able to check my assignment over the weekend [1] - you could always get James to check that you weren't assigned me, and then forward it on?

[1] insert paranoia that it's someone *at* the weekend and I have to make uo a fictional request on the spot and then keep the facade going all month.

Also high on the scale of wrongness is being asked to identify the strange buzzing object in one's bed (don't ask, I have no idea *why* it was buzzing) by one's infant daughter. While I am an advocate of answering questions truthfully, there is no child-friendly way to say, "That's Mummy's vibrator, darling."

I am going to spend the weekend with my head in a paper bag. Really.

Melting.... I'm melting

I love the random penis conversations that pop up (er...) in fandom every six months or so! They usually seem to center on size for Lance, size/"eagerness" with JC, and cut/uncut with Chris. Everyone just seems to accept that Joey is fairly hung, as all Italians would have you believe that they are (and, frankly, my experience, though not an exhaustive study, would bear that out), and that Justin is average in all respects, so those conversations don't arise (ahem) that often.

I love fandom!

My grandmother was at a funeral for a young cousin who died tragically, talking to another of my cousins who was the deceased's contemporary. Apparently, Xander (my cousin who died) briefly had a tongue piercing. My grandmother was asking my cousin Jonathan why. He said to her (as I did, and in the same words, apparently), "it's a sex thing," and she asked, in her lovely posh accent, "How does it help in sex?" She reported that Jonathan (a very blond young man) blushed red to the roots of his hair and said "Google it."

I'm going to be away this weekend too, and I really didn't want to lug the laptop along, but I want to know! I'll have to get Ash to check for me, then call me.

Um, what's a rampant rabbit? Because I don't see how that would be wrong. A bunny?

...and I thought the time I had to skip 300 was bad! *laughs* I think I would have given up at much more than that and just asked everyone for a rundown! ;)

Heeeeeee!

I'm gonna be out all day Saturday, so my terrifying assignment will be waiting for me when I get home. I'll be home all day Sunday, hopefully starting on it or at least brainstorming-while-net-surfing (i.e.: reading sparkly porn for "inspriation" *gigglesnort*), so I'll be around Sunday, um, late afternoon, early evening for you, if you wanna AIM me and we can commiserate together. *g*
