We woke up five minutes before I had a doctor's appointment this morning. Fun times I tell you.

James' new laptop is being delivered sometime today. I'm staked a claim for computer time now because it's coming complete with wireless network and somehow I think my access to the net is going to be disrupted all night as he tries to sort that out. Yesterday he was the victim of a practical joke by his friends at work. The laptop is being supplied by who he works for, sort of a cut price perk, the cost of which will be taken from his wages. So, yesterday he gets a call saying that they've looked at his finances and can only get the computer with a £200 deposit, James got all stressed and angry because as far as he knew there were no problems and it was coming today. Of course it was his friends at work pulling his leg, which fair enough, it was funny after the fact, but man, they picked a sore spot to poke. He's spent a disgraceful amount of time on the phone sorting out our debt problems, so that joke kind of hit close to home.

I've changed my lj banner. Don't know if I'll keep it, I sort of miss my other one and I'm probably the only one who'll like this one. But I don't care! Because Chris looked awesome back then, shell suits, goggles and all.

Okay, I have flist to read and SPN to watch. I didn't get a chance yesterday as we needed to do stuff, especially go grocery shopping. I tell you, you get spoiled when you're away for the weekend. Getting back into the swing of making your own food is hard. No tea appearing at all times. No delicious food made for you....sniff.

the more I think about it the more pissed I am at them for causing so much stress and for thinking that it's *funny*.

Shame when people don't realise that you can only joke about things that *aren't* important - can only make money jokes to people who have way too much of it, for instance. (Actually, they aren't all that funny even then - remember Justin on that nasty pranking programme, the name of which is blocked from my mind?)

You haven't trained your son to make tea on demand? Tut! I, otoh, have parkin in the fridge. Heh. (Though probably not for long.)

They really should be ashamed. He went back to work today and I told him he'd better tell them what a nasty thing it was to do. That so called joke way way below the belt.
