Jul. 26th, 2003 09:24 amI'm worried this morning.
My mam phoned last night as her dog Brock is ill. Well I say her dog, he's a family dog really. He's 15 so he's been there over half of my life. I only live a minutes walk from my mam's house so I see him everyday. He's lovely, this brown and white mutant Yorkshire Terrier. He's a mutant because he's much bigger than the normal Yorkie, and his ears stick straight up. That's him in my icon above.
He's had arthritis for a while, he has to take a tablet every day and cod liver capsules, and his whole body is covered in lumps and bumps. He gets tired a lot, but he'll still run after a ball and he's *happy* you know. He's the best dog and I love him so much.
Last night one side of his body seemed to collapse, his gums are hanging out of his mouth on one side, he doesn't want to walk. My mam and brother are taking him to the vets now to see what's wrong, but I really think he's had a stroke.
He's so old and I'm scared of what they'll say. I know he's only a dog but he's a *special* dog.

Would you like me to light some incense or burn a candle for Brock?
I'd love that, thank you. He needs all the help he can get just now, from any source. You've made me all teary by offering for a dog that you don't even know. He's got people rooting for him all over the world. He, and I, are so lucky.
