Apr. 25th, 2007 12:38 pmFor Den, who wanted Lamp h/c, and sometimes when you're supposed to be writing remix, all you can do is write utter crack ;)
It started with the looks. Narrowed eyes and lips curled briefly in a sneer. Lamp ignored those, letting the hostile glances bounce of his glass.
The words were harder to ignore. “Interspecies sex is wrong! Freak! You’re no better than a lightbulb! Lamp would scrape along the floor, his wax bubbling defiantly until he was tucked back in his corner, his flex curled sadly around his base.
Then it happened. Hands on his glass, a jeering voice and shaken so harshly his wax was nothing but tiny balls. There was no way to cry for help, and all Lamp could do was keep bubbling as he was lifted up high and thrown to the ground.
He landed with a crack, glass splintering, wax and liquid spilling to the floor.
“Lamp!”
Lamp tried to hold on, gathered his strength and blew one last empty bubble when Chris cradled him, pressing gentle fingers over the crack in Lamp’s side.
He’d had a good life.
~*~*~*~
“Lamp. Lamp, can you hear me?”
Awareness returned slowly. Lamp felt fragile, his base dented, his glass coated in glue.
“I think he’s coming back to us.” JC smiled down at Lamp, running his fingers over aching cracks. “You gave us a scare.”
“Yeah, you were nearly drained dry. We had to top you up with flat Mountain Dew.”
Enjoying the feel of Justin stroking his flex, Lamp attempted a bubble, his wax heating, growing when Joey laid his hand on his base, when Lance stroked Lamp’s plug against the soft skin of his cheek.
“She won’t bother you again, jealous bitch.”
Lamp’s wax bubbled up when he saw the bruises across Chris’ knuckles. He felt safe now, protected in this circle of men who loved him so much.
Now all he had to do was get better, show them in his own special way that he loved them too.
