[livejournal.com profile] woolly_socks asked about.

crack and typewriters. This is a joke that started at a popslash meet up at [livejournal.com profile] nopseud's. Somehow we got talking about a request someone had made at [livejournal.com profile] fic_requests. They'd asked for a ficlet where Lance is raped and gets pregnant. Once he gives birth, Justin says he wants to be the baby's daddy. So we discussed this a little and then moved onto other topics. This was also the meet up where Cramp was born. I think something was in the water that weekend *g* Anyway, I woke up the next day and saw [livejournal.com profile] pensnest scribbling in a notebook, and it turned out she'd written that story, with an awesome twist. From that moment the saying, 'all you need is a good dose of crack and a typewriter' was born.

Deaq/VanThey're the main stars of the tv show Fastlane. Fastlane was flashy, colourful, full of beautiful people, and sadly over all too soon. It only ran for one season but I loved it. They played up the slash at times, and Deaq and Van looked so pretty together.

Lamp Luv! Okay, right. How to explain. Popslash has this infamous story that includes a lava lamp. During this story, Chris spies on Lance and JC, who're having sex in the bedroom. The story is full of flowery writing, Lance has a dick wider than his fist, which can also drill holes through his leather pants. Your typical badfic sex scene you think? Oh no, it gets worse! Finding Chris spying on them, Lance and JC decide to teach him a lesson. How do they do that? They decide he needs to have a lava lamp shoved up his ass. Yes, a lava lamp. I'll wait until you stop cringing. Done? Okay then! The lamp is shoved up until only the flex remains hanging from his ass. Bad yes? You'd think Chris would run a mile, but no! He likes it! He wants to do it again!

Keep that story in mind. At the gathering I mentioned above, [livejournal.com profile] mickeym read that story aloud. It was the funniest thing I'd ever heard. I swear, my ribs were killing me by the end. There's just something about hearing such things as The only thing that remained outside of Chris' full ass was the cord to plug in the lamp. that cracks a person up.

Somehow we got talking about what a Chris/Lamp pairing would be called, and Cramp was born! Lamp is now sort of a character in certain areas of the popslash fandom. He's been slashed with many of the sdbs, has committed suicide by jumping from the Eiffel Tower. Has stalked Chris disgracefully, has been smashed, seduced, kissed, reproduced in art. He's Lamp

Related to the last. You may notice I'm listed on a lot of the lamp stuff. It means nothing! I'm normal, honest!

Lobsters and ho That's the Chris/JC/Lance threesome. See, Chris and JC are lobsters, because they mate for life. Lance is a ho ( I say that with love ) together they're the lobsters and ho.

Mutants My favourite show in the world is Mutant X. I just love the whole mutant idea. That people have amazing powers, like being able to fly, or mass themselves, or control electricity. ( Brennan, I love you! )

Threemanbus is the Chris/JC/Justin threesome. When Nsync were touring they split up, Joey and Lance on one bus, Chris, JC, and Justin on the other. Of course, there was lots of kissing and seducing going on in that bus, because threemanbus is made of win.

Wow. My interests make me sound insane!

Hmmm, well, you know what most of those are, too!

Bassenbaum is obviously the pairing name for Lance Bass/Jesse Tannenbaum. Mmmmmm, Jesse. Lance should totally take him back!

Space Cowboy is my favorite *NSYNC song, and I'm not even really sure why. I know I initially liked it just because I became pretty much immediately infatuated with JC when I discovered *NSYNC, so I took notice of the songs he had written. I liked "Bringin' Da Noise", too, but Space Cowboy was even more fun, and the fact I could follow JC's lovely bizarre logic when he claimed the song to be "about the human spirit, really," just cemented its place as my favorite. *g*

DV8 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DV8) was an interesting comic in the late 90s. It was a spin-off from Gen13, about their so-called rivals, the kids who did NOT escape from Internal Operation's gen-activation program. It was a dark book, they were borderline villains, or rather some were and some were anti-heroes, and it was all pretty confusing, really, but somehow it managed to make that work FOR it, and it was massively entertaining while doing it. I'm not even sure how they accomplished that, but they did. I collected a LOT of comics for a while, but DV8 was always one of my favorites.

Tygra is the ThunderCat! I always liked him -=tons=- more than Lion-O. And invisibility was a totally awesome power! ThunderCats actually shaped a massive portion of my late childhood and a fair degree of the adolescent I grew into, and Tygra was always, Always, ALWAYS my favorite part of the show.

Jason Scott is the original Red Ranger (icon I'm using), who you know I love! The thing that really made me fall in love with the original MMPR was their amazing friendship, the fact that they were the absolute best of friends, closer than family. Jason was the driving force behind that, and Austin St. John is actually very similar to his character.

Wade Robson is the most (in?)famous choreographer of *NSYNC, duh. And he contributed quite a bit to Celebrity, quite a bit to fandom with the Britney breakup rumors, and hell, he's hot. Not as hot as Jesse Tannenbaum or Austin St. John back in the day, but close. ;)

And I obviously fail at both reading AND counting, 'cuz that was only six.

Fey is simply one of the adjective forms of fairy (faerie, fae, etc...), which is a "supernatural" subject I've always found fascinating. I'm mostly Irish, so I discovered tales of the "wee folk" fairly young when we had to do family trees and history and such in grade school, and I just thought it was really interesting. Fae make great subjects for fantasy fiction (the main genre I write in) because they're so chaotic and have so many different myths and legends associated with them, they can pretty much be used in any way imaginable. Good story fodder, that.
