[livejournal.com profile] kaethe has just posted her story for The Awesome April Challenge. It's trickc and it's just so good, like seriously happy making. So go see. Give her some love.

The stories that have been posted for this challenge have been so amazing. People are so fantastic with the writing of good fic, so if you have time. Read and feed. It's worth it.

We've been to nanna's today, and she unexpectedly asked us to stay for lunch. So we did, sharing a casserole she'd made for two people between four. She gave me the knife and fork I always used to use at her house when I was a kidlet. They have black and white flowers on and they're small and I'm the only one she'll let use them &hearts Nanna &hearts . But man, the casserole had black pudding in it. Luckily I was sitting next to James so when she turned her back we had a frantic exchange of food, me forking his veggies, him the black pudding.

And now I'm sitting watching the snow. Big fat flakes drifting past the window, and I've just had a yummy tea and I have fic to read. Really, it's a fantastic way to spend a night.

Sometimes I'll miss my grandparents even more than usual and it always hurts but at the same time I'm so happy to hear about your moments with your grandmother... the knife story is the sweetest :-)

And why is everyone having snow but me?! *cries*

I can imagine. Sometimes I miss my grandads and other nanna so much, and I worry about Nanna Rosie too. She's healthy right now, but she's nearly 90 now. *hugs tight* So I get it.

But yeah, she made me all misty. We used to have dinner at her house every Sunday. I can't count how many times I've used that special knife and fork.

I've been amazed how much snow we've got. It's not lying but the flakes are huge.

We had snow this morning, too.

I really love Awesome April so far! Right now, I'm working on what is turning out to be a kind giant PWP (almost 3k already and not half done!) for the 23rd. I am rather nervous about posting thousands of words of sex, but I hope that will be okay? :)

We have. It's been snowing hard all day, and not just the weedy stuff, but the serious fat fluffy flakes.

It really is weird weather.

It's weird having snow this late.

There's been some amazing stories posted, and I'm so looking forward to yours.

Are you okay btw? You haven't been around this last week much.

It is very odd having snow this late. My whole world is a bit confused!

I'm glad you're looking forward to it - I'm having fun writing it in between the "cringe! sex!" moments. I keep asking [livejournal.com profile] adelate to tell me if it's any good and she keeps telling me it's hot, so I guess that's a good sign! (She is very patient with me basically sending each paragraph as it's done - I'm so paranoid.)

I've been feeling really quiet this week - partly just mega tiredness and partly post-holiday blues from my America trip (I really wish I'd taken a couple more days). But I'm doing OK considering, and popslash is as always helping me to perk up! Thank you for asking honey. [snuggles you lots]

I worked on what I think will turn out to be my Awesome April story today! It's a very exciting challenge and it's great to have a new story a day while I work on mine. Great inspiration to finish.

I can't believe you had more snow in April! Luckily we just had more rain, although it was windy and chilly today.

Ooh, yum! Black pudding! I think I might have to buy some this week -- the farm shop near the village makes it and it's fabulous. (I almost bought some for Camp Sparkle, and then I thought we'd probably weird people out enough with the mushy peas. :-)

Ok, I was totally thnking that black pudding was actually pudding until I wikipedia-ed it. and I was like 'why would a casserole have pudding in it?'

that's so lovely, about your Nanna and the special cutlery - it's reminded me of my Yorkshire gran, who had a set of plastic glasses with different colour polka-dots on, just for us. Mine was the yellow one.

Aww, your nanna.

I googled black pudding, and we have something similar here. And it's very much of a love/hate thing. :D
