When I started The Awesome April Challenge I expected it to be a month long thing. But it wasn't at all, because [livejournal.com profile] raynedanser ran It's Gonna Be May, and now [livejournal.com profile] catviret is running The June Bug. There's already people signing up, and you should too! So go, sign, keep that popslash flame burning.

I had a glorious day yesterday. James was at work so I had the house to myself, and all I did was read fic, took a midday shower and changed into clean pjs, read more fic. Made tea, and burnt my hand *woe* then read more fic. It was a totally lazy and indulgent day and I loved it. Well, apart from when I realised really late it was Monday and [livejournal.com profile] pop_newsletter needed posting, leading to a frantic scramble and getting it done minutes before midnight, and yeah, I know it's not a big deal being late, but I don't like to be.

So yes, so much fic. So much good fic.

I'll skirt over the fact that following a link from [livejournal.com profile] silveryscrape I spent a good amount of time reading at a MPREG site, not even a fannish one either, but original fic, with manips and stories and man. When I logged on today and remembered that I wondered what the hell I was on. I need an intervention, I really do.

Today I'm writing something quite sort of weird, sort of h/c-ishy, and if anyone is willing I need a beta for a MCR story. It'll be really short, around 4,000 words I suspect but needs to be checked today. I know, I suck. I'd shove it on my beta filter but I always feel like I'm asking too much now, especially as it was a filter set up for popslash. Any volunteers? Just letting me know I'm not on crack would help.

To end. The Scouts have a media center where they're staying and planned to post blogs, pics etc. The first picture has just gone up and while I can't see Corey, I got such a pang of missing him.

ETA: I'm sorted :)

Yeah, I was joking about it but there is interesting stuff on there, and terrible too. But that's true of most sites like that I think.

That blog really is interesting, I hadn't checked those out last night. So thanks for the link :)
