turpsIf you could hear me now you'd be hearing a *very* self satisfied cackle as I look at my new computer. Well I say new, it's the same model as the last one, but at least I have a desktop pc again. *Long* battle with the insurance again, saying that the performance of the old model just wasn't on. But finally pure bloody mindness won the day and I got a replacement. Which is now sitting in front of me!
It's not like I've been net deprived, I've had my hubby's laptop to use, but it's just not the same as *my* computer, plus I hate writing on his. The keys are too small and close together and I can't save anything on the hard drive as he's terrified that one day at work one of my stories will open. Yeah like that'll happen, and even if it does, it'll do those idiots at the bank good to see something apart from money.
But the final insult was the firewall, never have I seen one so damn screwy. Letting me in some sites and not others. thank god for my friends who sent some stories that I couldn't access. You feel like such a child when you're not permitted on a site due to 'adult content' I mean, jeeze that's what I'm there for!
So today I belted out a dues story for SXA, not really that good but all that I had time to do right now. It makes me feel bad sometimes, saying that, but I just can't submit a long story every time. God, if I could do that every two months I'd be a much better writer than I am.
Then I have to start getting ready for the Trek con on Fri. I should be more excited, but to be honest I just want to stay at home and play on my computer. Not that I'm gonna tell James that, the monney we've spent. He's so stoked about meeting Willaim Shatner
