Happy belated birthday to
mickeym. I hope it was wonderful for you ♥ and a very happy birthday for today to
nahemaraxe ♥
Since Thursday we've been hit by heavy snow here. I know what we class as heavy is nothing in other parts of the world, but when you live in a place where hardly anyone knows how to drive in snow, snow tyres are almost unheard of and roads remain un-cleared. Well, it leads to problems.
Journeys are taking four times as long as usual and today we needed to drive our niece to a karate competition down south. Which meant a 7 am start, hours sitting in a sports hall and then hours driving home in yet more heavy snow. In the last few days we've also been to the hospital so James could get his hand checked, only to wait for ages without seeing the doctor as he was on the trauma list and was busy operating on emergencies. Got another appointment, which was also cancelled due to the same thing. There's been another one made for next week, so third time lucky and all that.
It's snowing again now, and is forecast to do so heavily all night so weather warnings have gone out not to drive unless doing so is essential. I suspect we may not leave the house tomorrow. I hope not anyway.
But we have had some fun in the snow. Like today, when we took our young nephew for a walk. It was snowing and we had a blast throwing snowballs and finding a fishshop where James and Andrew shared a bag of sausage and chips before walking back and throwing more snowballs. Just so you know. James makes a good target.
Also awesome. Mikey and Frank's video discussing their favourite movies. I love those two so much and after each re-watch, of which there has been many, I've been tempted to push aside all my WIPs and start a Frank/Mikey story, because they're my favourites ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Mikey is so animated and I love his reaction when Frank starts talking about that scene because Mikey knows which one he means, of course he does, and the whole thing is just delightful.
Also delightful. Reading that apparently Leonard Nimoy was at the My Chem release show. Also, the fact that he now follows Lindsey as well as Mikey and Gerard will never not be amazing.
I've just scraped out my 300 words for mini nano so am going to have an early night and fall asleep watching Food Network.
