It must be so much easier to tell those kind of things to a stranger than to someone you have grown up with.

Yeah, I've been thinking about that today, and another element has to be that both Gerard and then Mikey were so fucked up that it would over-shadow Frank using too. And sometimes you just don't want to tell your closest friends when you have issues.
