And yeah, Frank having such an extensive pill problem wasn't something I was expecting either. But man, poor Ray. Sometimes it feels like he's in a different band. I keep imagining that apology, it had to be such an intense moment.

THANKS FOR THIS! *hugssss* I also thought it'd be longer, and we've seen most of the pics (I think I'd seen all of them except for the kid ones). Not that I mind seeing them all again. :D

But...gah! I think only once I read Frank mention the pills and waking up on Monday not remembering anything, what surprised me more was Ray saying he didn't know! O_o

Now, the mental image of stoned!Frank on the couch while they recorded is pretty amusing, especially at 7am, when I should be sleeping (gimme fic. xD He'd have probably joined the band earlier if he'd been able to leave the couch at that moment, then hahahaha.

Well, we more or less knew the rest and although a lot of it is sad to read, it makes me happy to know they're in such a much better place now. Happy with their lives and what they do. I have to confess I'm feeling a little vindicated after reading this because years ago I read an old article - like from the Bullets era - with Frank where he talked about his pill use and suicidal thoughts but I've never been able to find it again. I was starting to think I'd totally dreamed it up but seeing this interview tells me that I wasn't imagining Frank's pill use.

Ray's perfectionism isn't that surprising but his apology to Mikey is.

I'm really surprised that they put together Black Parade with expectation people would hate it.

Yeah, exactly! I'd only seen it once (Frank saying exactly this that the interviewer quoted -I don't think he said anything about suicide thoughts in that same article, though) in an old interview, but then it was never mentioned again like that, which was weird. I guess because Gerard was the one with apparently the biggest (and most visible) addiction problem, so he's always been the main subject when these kind of things from the past are brought up.

Casually, someone re-found that old interview not long ago and I re read it, that's why it didn't surprise me now. I was, however, surprised at Ray's reaction.
